Great Sushi and Japanese food to dine in or out.With this being down the street from me, it's hard to not order from when you have that sushi craving.The fish has always been fresh, and I like that they offer beyond the typical rotation of just Salmon, Tuna, and Shrimp.The entrees are also unique and love to order those to enjoy at dinner. My favorites are the NY Strip, gyudon, and the Curry Seafood udon.Yama is great and look forward to eating there more often.

We have always drove by this place but never stopped by until today! It was amazing! I was excited because it happened to be Wednesday ladies night! Our serve Anh made sure to let us know all about the special and I of course grabbed a glass of wine! Our food came out fast, fresh, and delicious ! Can't wait to come back!

I saw good reviews so I had to come give it a try! Cute small restaurant, conveniently located. Food was delicious! Less than $22 I was able to have a Chef's Special and a side of rice, plus tip!!The server was super friendly. I wasn't there too long but she checked on me twice. I think her name was Peggy. I will definitely be returning during lunch times! Next time I want to try one of the Bento Boxes!I think I also saw a sign that Wednesday nights are ladies nights! Maybe I'll have to check that out too!

Picked up take out the other day. First time ordering from Yama. Got a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and Alaska roll. The rice did not have a good consistency on the rolls. Imitation crab meat was used. California roll did not have a fresh taste. Alaska roll, was the same, very bland. Stomach was upset afterwards. Would not go here again.

My friends and I came Saturday evening to eat something light and drink before we headed to an event. It was a little before 7:30. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I can't remember what everyone ordered. I wasn't too hungry since I had a bit of food prior so I just got uni nigiri ($18,) yellowtail scallion roll ($8), and a sprite ($3). My friend next to me got the Ninja Roll. The uni was fresh and delicious and they put a good amount on there too! Yellowtail scallion roll is the only basic roll I like and get. I love yellowtail and you get the perfect amount if you're wanting something smaller than a normal sized roll. My friend's Ninja roll ($15) was also good. Spicy yellowtail inside topped with more yellowtail. We'll be back again!

I've been eyeing this place for about a year now. Finally made the stop-in for lunch. Iced green tea was on point. The chef platter was perfect for lunch. The fish was very fresh and cut perfectly. If you are hungry, the chicken katsu bento box is where it is at. That thing was HUGE (said like Trump). Very quiet which makes the conversations a little easier. Quick service and also had full drinks the whole time. Make sure to try this out next time you are in the mood for Sushi.

Recently discovered Yama Sushi thanks to a good friend who brought me for my birthday, and two weeks I've already been back!! This time we had the chef's sashimi, ninja roll, and sunshine roll, along with some gyozas for my son and edamame for the table. We also tried the lychee sake with Sapporo. (Last time we even tried the Uni as it was just flown in!) Oh! And they have fresh wasabi, try it if you never had the chance!The food was so fresh and clean tasting with beautiful presentation. The staff is also totally on top of the things and friendly.

Came here during lunch hour to get their lunch special plates. Lunch hour is 11AM - 2PM on weekdays. I ordered the fisherman's plate- 3 pieces of sushi, 3 pieces of sashimi and a California roll for $13. Wife ordered the chef's special lunch- 5 pieces of sushi and 8 pieces of spicy tuna roll for $13. The fish was fresh and good but I thought the pieces were on the smaller side. I liked the fish to rice ratio. It would be nice if the lunch specials came with miso soup like most Japanese restaurants.Wife was full from her lunch but I wasn't so I ended up ordering a dragon roll for $15.Service was friendly and prompt. I think this is a nice spot for sushi but if you have a big appetite, can end up spending more than you had wanted to.
