For 6 dollars each this was definitely an affordable and delicious option in Chinatown! I tried the lamb rou jia mou and it was perfectly seasoned and spiced. I love the vegetables which cut out some of the gaminess and oiliness of the lamb. This definitely isn't the best I've had since I've liked others more with better seasoning but it's made well and for 6 dollars it's a great snack! The grandma who works there was really kind and accommodated to us wanting take out. It was great knowing we were supporting a local business.

Xi'an Cuisine is truly one of Chinatown's best-kept secrets! As someone from the Bay Area used to fantastic Asian food, I was thrilled to discover this gem in Chicago. We tried the chicken wing skewer, lamb hand-pulled noodles, and beef Chinese burger, and each dish was exceptional. The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned and fried the hand-pulled noodles had a wonderful texture and flavor, and the beef Chinese burger was savory and satisfying.Despite being new to the Chicago food scene, I found this spot to be a standout with its authentic and delicious offerings. Very quick service as well, and great ambiance for a lunch spot. I believe they have other locations, so I'm definitely looking forward to returning and exploring more of their menu. If you're in Chinatown and craving top-notch Asian cuisine, Xi'an Cuisine is a must-visit!

Food: very flavorful noodles. Chewy noodles and fresh ingredients. On the other side, The appetizers lacked flavors. Cheap prices for the food! Very wide selection of food as well.Service: very average, typical of Chinese restaurants. Ambiance: small restaurant, tables accommodate 6p at most. Air condition wasn't great. Tables were clean.

Thank you Bonnie C. for finding this place! It was busyyy since we had visited during the Lunar New Year parade , I'd say come here with 4 ppl max for most comfortable seating , a good amount of booth seatings thoughMenu is extensive- Stir-Fried Chewy Noodles: bomb.com! So flavorful and the Biang Biang noodles were a nice fluffy chew, highly recommend and definitely a share-able item, decent amount of veggies too which I can appreciate - Cumin Lamb Flatbread: yummm, so delicious and well-seasoned, flavorful too. Bonnie C. got their crispy flatbread while I ordered the original, and we both really enjoyed what we got!- Pork potstickers: delicious appetizer to start the meal with, comes with 6piecesCan't wait to be back next time I'm in town!

This place is a really affordable establishment. They has hand pulled noodles of thick, thin and standard size. They have a variety of noodles dishes, sides and also the famous pancake/Flatbread.For the flat bread, they have different options to choose from such as cumin lamb, minced pork, beef, or vegetarian. Then you chose chrispy or not. I choose Chrispy or not. For the chrispy version it's like a spiral dough and the non chrispy version was more dough and bread. The cumin lamb was salty. The noodle I chose was #60 which comes with thick noodles, beef stew and tomateo and minced pork. They also have dry stir fry noodles and wet noodles. I will come back again to try the wet noodles.

We only had the chance to eat one full meal in Chinatown and we were so glad to have picked this place. You walk in, scan the QR code on your table, and order completely online. We got the Cumin Lamb flatbread, Zhajiang (thin) noodles, and the Biang Biang noodles with lamb. The staff was super nice. The flatbread was very good. The lamb meat was decent, but the bread was perfectly crispy and steaming hot. Both noodle dishes were excellent. Full of savory sauce that coats every noodle. The lamb chunks in the biang biang noodles were perfectly tender; this dish was the star of the night. We weren't very hungry to begin with and there were so much food, but we ended up finishing everything. Spice level wise, I'm not the most spice tolerant, but I felt that the dishes weren't very spicy. Would love to come back to try other Chinatown offerings, but would definitely recommend this place.

This was a good Chinese restaurant, kind of small inside but there is seating. Service was typically meh but the food was great. We were a group of 4 so we tried a lot of items. We ordered sliced marinated beef, lamb soup, biang biang noodles, cumin lamb flatbread, cumin beef flatbread, lamb skewer, noodles with tomato and egg sauce. They were all 5/5 in my book. Flavor was all there. Dishes were savory and delish. Portions were just right, no complaints. Prices are fair. No we did not get any food poisoning.

Came in for a quick bite before heading over to millennium park. Large bowl of beef noodle soup, three different Chinese burger (pork, cumin lamb and cumin beef) and a 3 combo cold plate. The food is great, the beef noodle tasted a bit different, it's good. I think because I was expecting radish in the Xi'an version. The burgers were good, the dough is crispy, the meat flavorful

We ordered:1. Biang Biang Noodles2. Hand-stretched Noodle Soup W. Lamb Intestines3. Stir-fried Cold Noodles4. Cumin Lamb Flatbread5. Beef SkewersThey nailed the flavor on all the dishes. The Biang Biang Noodles were my favorite. I loved that the noodles were made fresh. Hand stretched noodles could be thicker but I also enjoyed the light broth. Skewers were juicy. Flatbread was crispy. I would order all three of these dishes together again. Service was good but we went later in the evening so I don't know how good/bad the service is at full capacity.

You will always enjoy a hearty meal when you come to Xi'an Cuisine. It's an unassuming storefront on Cermak avenue, but inside you will find food with TONS of flavor. It's not fancy nor flashy, but it's functional. Each table has a bottle of black vinegar and a jar of house made chili oil with a little spoon. If you're looking for white table cloths, you will not find that here. But if you're looking for a Chinese talent show to be playing on the TV at the back of the restaurant, bingo. There is one woman running the show, taking overs, cleaning tables, serving tea/water, and packing to-go deliveries. She works hard and is multi-tasking so you may need to be a little patient, but the food shines.I came here the first time for biang biang noodles with my partner. We each had a bowl and also shared a cucumber salad and a roujiamo flatbread. We were blown away by the hand-pulled noodles.I came back again with my family (party of 6) and this would be the biggest party they could comfortably fit around a table. Our table was made of 3 square tables pushed together with three of us on each side. It was cozy but it worked! This time, across the group, we had:biang biang noodles Won ton soupHand pulled noodles with lambChewy noodles with pork elbow"Roujiamo" flatbreads: cumin lamb and pork belly Stir fried baby bok choyPan-fried beef dumplings (we were notified of a 20 min wait time since this was made to order)Sliced marinated beef My favorite dish was the pan-fried beef dumplings. It came with a crispy, crunchy "skirt" that comes with the bottom layer of being pan-fried (yum!). My parents, sister, and BIL also got to try the biang biang noodles here and I think they were impressed! When we came there was no wait to be seated, but there was a little wait for our food and to get water and tea. If you're patient, you will not mind :) But it will help to have that expectation going in: that they are a small operation doing everything in-house and making everything from scratch, so wait times will be longer. They have a location in Naperville and it looks like a recently opened location in the West Loop. This makes me happy, as xi'an flavors are becoming more accessible across the city. Love it!
