Wushiland Boba

Can't go wrong with Boba and shopping, especially at UTC mall. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea is so refreshing and a mist try. The boba was chewy and had a great overall consistency. It wasn't too sweet compared to other places. They were pretty quick given how busy they were, but they did a great job making the drinks.

It was a long journey to get to this Wushiland Boba, but we made it. Of course by the time we got here, everyone else already had gotten a drink from other boba spots like Happy Lemon and BenGong Tea. That's okay. I came here to get at least one boba drink and that's what I did. My niece hadn't gotten a drink yet so she and I both ordered.I got my usual... Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with ice cream, mini pearls, grass jelly, and lychee jelly at 100% sweetness and no ice. My niece got the Original Milk Tea with brown sugar and boba at 70% sweetness. Wow... I wasn't expecting my drink to be so sweet... yes, I asked for 100% sweetness, but all other Wushiland aren't that sweet even at 100%. I thought they all abide to the same recipe. Maybe whoever made my drink was sugar happy and squirted a couple more squirts of syrup. That's okay I still drank it. Unfortunately, I didn't drink it until later so I couldn't take it back to have it remade. Lesson learned. Hope my niece enjoyed her drink... she was smart... she asked for 70% sweetness. =)Staff was nice. Speed of service could have been better, but they were busy at the time. Inside space was a little tight IMHO... it's a lot smaller than most Wushilands that I've been to. Anyway, I'll still return here the next time I'm at Westfield UTC because I love Wushiland!

Two words - MINI BOBA : D This is on my list of great spots for boba milk tea. I love mini boba and not too many places get it right - but this place does. I always get 50% sweet at the least. Their classic milk teas and brown sugar series are my go-to. If I'm feeling zesty, I do get the ice cream milk teas. If you do, though, get 25% sweet. Their macchiato series are delicious if you're a fan of "milk cap" style drinks. The foam adds a sweet and airy texture to the drink. One final hot take - get the drinks with EXTRA ice. Service is solid. The lines can get long, but the staff always does a good job of busting out drinks and helping out guests.The ambiance is perfect as it's in UTC mall. Nothing hits like rewarding yourself after shopping with more shopping by getting a sweet treat lmao. I won't lie to you and say this place is the best of the best, but it's my favorite spot for milk tea in this area of SD in University City/near UCSD/UTC area.4.5 rounded to a 5!

One of the places with mini Boba, you'll easily see in the cups how much is added. The mini Boba is a different experience than regular sized Boba. It's not so much a chewy snack but rather a mouth feel as you sip the drink. It's not as easily chewable as it sorta slips through your teeth. It's still fun, but I am slightly into the regular size Boba more.The drink itself was great. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea, half sweetened. My bf got the orange Yakult and he loved it! It was the exact kind of drink he wanted, a juicy sweet drink. I also thought it was pretty good and I'd order a Yakult drink next time. My sister also ordered a green tea Yakult.A cashier who asks me about sweetener or ice level checks the box for me. I always forget to order less sugar so I appreciate when the cashier asks. She passed the test!

This boba shop is located at the UTC mall. There was no crowd on a Monday afternoon. We ordered the oolong tea with boba 30% sugar was good. We like the amount of sugar. However, the brown sugar green tea 50% sugar was super sweet. I can't imagine how too 100% sugar would taste. Lol. Glad we tried, but probably a hit or miss spot.

Pro tip: order via the mobile app or website if you are even hankering for boba while in UTC as the lines can be very long. Wushiland is the joint for those who love their boba chewy and half of their drink and beats out all other places for the # of boba balls you get in your drink (with an option to add even more if you wanted) The teas are not quite at the upper echelons of other stores like Camellia Road but you can't go wrong here for the general boba enthusiast.

I am basic at Wushiland--I am loyal to my ice cream drinks, alternating between the regular, oolong, and earl grey milk tea. Something about the creaminess of the ice cream adding to the creaminess of the milk tea is just so addicting. The drink itself is sweet but I don't find it overwhelming and heavy, and even though it is sweet, I can still taste the tea brewed it in. I tried a friend's Four Seasons Tea Macchiato once and that was very good as well. Y'all really need to open in OC. Visiting LA or SD is not the move.

I wanted to like this place because they are opening one by my house but it was only ok for me. I got the brown sugar black tea. I got it with coconut jelly and it ruined the whole drink. It was too sweet and it tasted like pineapple for some weird reason. My daughter got the brown sugar toasted oolong tea. The boba was good and the tea was ok. The toasted flavor was really pronounced. I can't imagine drinking a whole drink though. I will need to try this again to see if there is something I can end up likingThe cashier was helpful though and answered our questions thoroughly.

Tbh i'm not sure why i gave 4 stars in the past, but this place deserves 5 stars! I've been a regular here and have been loving their roasted oolong milk tea! - less ice and 25% sweetness w/ half mini pearls half boba :)

I feel this is a bit pricier than most boba places I go to. Ordered the oolong milk tea which was great. I loved the flavor and the boba was perfect consistency. I'd try other flavors when shopping at UTC.
