Wren's Nest Baking

Went on Saturday at 9am and it was super busy. There was quite a line, but it moved pretty fast. I waited in line for maybe ten minutes and then it took another ten for my order to be ready. Not too bad, and I found a cozy seat by the fire to wait. You cannot beat the ambiance of this place, and the staff were all super friendly. I've been gluten free for around ten years, so I was super excited to hear about a gluten free bakery in my city! I ordered 2 lemon bars, a sourdough loaf, 4 cinnamon rolls, and a zucchini spice muffin. This totaled $68, which I admit I was a little shocked by. Everything tasted good, but I am not the biggest fan of the flour blend they use. It's just not a great texture. I liked the flavor of the zucchini spice muffin, it wasn't too sweet. The lemon bars are awesome, nice and tart. The sourdough was a little gummy, but good. The cinnamon rolls definitely need more cinnamon/sugar filling, in my opinion. They just weren't quite sweet enough. I've found that to be true about some other items I've gotten here on other occasions as well. The cream cheese frosting is a bit savory and tangy. I just wanted more of the gooey, cinnamon filling that makes cinnamon rolls so decadent. Overall, good stuff! Definitely pricey, and the texture and flavor wasn't quite what I wanted.

Finally tried Wren's Nest! So glad to have another coffee shop/bakery nearby! Building is super nice, tons of seating with some private areas. I met a work colleague and we were able to have a private conversation in our little nook. All bakery items are gluten free and they all looked delicious. My coworker took some cookies and quiche home. I had a cappuccino, which was delicious. Highly recommend!

Thrilled to have a new bakery in North Tacoma! Street parking on Pearl (or nearby) - I'm not sure if you can park in the back or have to work there, but there was space. My husband and I stopped in to try it out last week - we got 2 kolaches, a quiche, and a raspberry cream cake (coffee cake). Husband got a coffee. Great, friendly service. Easy to see what was available and the person at the register was helpful, too. Cake and quiche were the stars - Kolaches were good (as someone mentioned the texture wasn't quite the same as gluten). I forgot to ask how the coffee was but no complaints. The space is gorgeous, with plenty of tables to sit and chat. Looking forward to coming on a nicer day and going up to the rooftop!

I was excited to check this out because they were reported to be all GF (per the Find Me Gluten Free app). And they also have some dairy-free options. So I got a chocolate chip cookie and a carrot muffin (both dairy free). And I also grabbed a decaf americano. The coffee was okay, the cookie was good, and the muffin was great!It also looks like they have a cozy and quiet space where people can sit and work. I definitely want to come back and work from there!

Wrens best has excellent coffee and baked goods. It is a gluten free bakery but you really can't tell when you eat their pastries. My favorite dishes have been their quiches and kolaches. There is usually a line but it moves quickly. The seating area is very large and there is plenty of space for a family or big group of friends. Service has always been friendly and professional.

CUTE CUTE CUTE bakery - absolutely love the inside decor. There are about 6 bourbon barrel tables that site 2-4 people on the inside, 4 spots by a large fire place, and 2 hidden alcoves for a table of 2. The bakery gets very busy around 9-10 am but seems to cool off around 11 am. The baked goods were out of this world tasty. I was told they are all gluten free but you truly cannot tell. Large portion sizes. Their prices are a bit on the high side but I would say well worth it for a fun Saturday treat. I got the banana cinnamon swirl muffin and a hot oatmilk latte. Yum!

This gluten-free bakery opened just recently down the street from my house. I have been in a couple of times. The pastries have all been very good. The coffee is outstanding. I had a decaf coffee and it actually tasted like real coffee (decaf mocha with oat milk). They do sell out pretty quickly, so it's hard to know what they're going to have by the afternoon when I'm typically available. The inside is very pleasant. It's spacious and there Is plenty of seating. It's very calming and there's a fireplace. I'm docking one star because I feel like the bread, although I haven't had it, is a bit pricey. I wanted to get the sourdough and it was $17, so, I have not tried the bread. Otherwise, a nice addition to our area.

I always wanted to come here but Sundays are closed. I finally get here on weekday while I had a slow morning. I didn't try coffee but coffee looks great!People are friendly.My baked goods are fluffy and moist. Loved the taste. It's gluten free and it fills you quickly. I love the quiet sitting areas. It will be perfect for your study, reading, journaling or small meetings.Will come back.

While the sourdough bread was good, it didn't smell or taste like sourdough (and it cost $17.50 for one loaf).Top marks for ambiance though. I'd recommend this place for those with deep pockets.

Food is good. Service is terrible. Not sure if the owner is the older short light hair lady? But wow she is very rude. We have been here at least 5 times before and today was such a bad experience. Will not be back. Don't recommend this place.
