Unique rustic atmosphere reminiscent of a dim English pub, with a pub cat and homemade beer.Hubs had the strong beer flight, which had a rich depth of flavor and very high ABV.I had the cookie porter, which was incredible for a cold early winter evening. We shared a schnitzel sandwich (the kitchen split it for us, nice touch!) and added the dipping sauces (recommend!) to the fries.Great spot with SO much character, will definitely bring out of towners here for a brew next time we have visitors.Staff could not be nicer!Parking is a bit meh- the lot is tiny, but there's usually parking on the L5P side streets.

I love the vibe in this place. Just very relaxed. I did not sit down at a table, I just sat at the bar, but it felt like a very friendly space. Their beer selection was amazing and the burger was delicious. I would definitely return here again. On a nice day they have a great outdoor area that would be very enjoyable as well. It is a little bit off the beaten path so it wasn't crowded. Bartenders were super nice and attentive. I will definitely return here.

Such a hidden gem!! I've been to Little 5 so many times but always driven past this. I came here for a weeknight dinner with a friend. The parking lot is small but we found a spot and were seated almost immediately. I really loved the cozy vibes inside the basement of this Victorian-style house and the menu too felt very farm to table. I also loved the choice of local beers. We got the Wreckinator Dopplebock and a SAVAGE! Brown Porter. Our server was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations and even let us taste to figure out what we wanted. For food, we had the octopus appetizer, pork schnitzel, a side of mac n cheese, and pork belly. The octopus was so tender and buttery and I liked the bok choy it came on top of. The pork schnitzel was cooked so thinly and crispy and was so yummy. The mac n cheese was so rich and I loved the variety of cheese used in it. The star of the night had to be the pork belly. It was so delicious and the celeriac puree it came on top of was HEAVENLY. I was literally scraping this off the plate. To round out the meal, we had an apple fritter with ice cream which came highly recommended by our server and did not disappoint. Overall, really cool space and I can't wait to come back!!!

Located in the basement of an old mansion, the Wrecking Bar is an intimate restaurant, bar and brewpub. The ambiance is definitely English pub in nature and many of the beers fit this style. The food also has that feel with cheese and charcuterie board options, The menu also feels very farm to table in nature.Sat down at the bar and ordered a flight and had a great talk with the bartenders on that night. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about their product. That should go without saying, but you would be surprised how many don't. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food here, as I had already eaten about an hour earlier. But the pork belly, duck pot pie, and trout all sounded wonderful. The person down the bar from me had the Apple Butter grilled cheese and was raving about how wonderful (and unique) it was. As my meal earlier was more basic and marginal, I wish I had read the menu here first. On a subsequent trip, I have to stop again and try some of the food.

Food: My friend and I decided to check out Wrecking Bar on a Friday night. We both wanted sandwiches so we ordered the crispy cod sandwich and the apple butter grilled cheese so we could both try both sandwiches. For the sides we ordered fries. Both sandwiches were really good. Especially the grilled cheese it was so flavorful. My friend didn't like the aged cheddar at first bite, but she thought it paired well with the bacon and the apple butter which is made in house. Service: Our server Kyle was very friendly and gave great recommendations when we had questions about the menu. He constantly checked on us & even personally made honey mustard for my friend when she requested some to go with her fries.

We had a great meal at Wrecking Bar Brewpub and so much fun with our server Schuyler! We shared an outdoor table and I didn't even go inside to see what it looked like. The patio is tucked into the side of the restaurant in a way that makes you feel like you're sitting on someone's porch- the neighborhood is residential which adds to that feeling. They have interesting beers- my husband enjoyed a whit beer and a "black" beer. I had the gin and tonic. The have a fabulous wine list. The cauliflower is plated weird but was delicious. The mussels were good and the trout was amazing. We also had a gooey chocolate dissertations which paired great with the Tempranillo. We were there for a preconcert dinner. Afterwards we walked to Variety Playhouse (and we had parked at the paid lot behind the theater. It was a perfect evening!!

Wrecking Bar continues to be one of our go to restaurants. The staff is always friendly, the beers and cocktails are delicious, and the food doesn't disappoint. We usually grab a spot at the bar for a drink and some food, but most recently on a cool September evening, we opted for the patio to enjoy a slight feeling of fall.I ordered my go to cocktail, The El Camino al Sol and my partner ordered the new cold pale ale which came out a few days earlier. For food, we went "really healthy" and split the pimento cheese and cheese burger with fries. It was delicious and way better than a salad.

Love love love this place. We quickly became regulars here after our first visit on a whim. This place has some incredible food and amazing, hilarious staff. They have a huge beer selection, which isn't my thing, but the cocktails are always on point. They change up the menu occasionally, so it can be sad to see a favorite is gone, but it's always replaced by something else delicious so that sadness disappears pretty quickly.

Juice Willis beer is the stuff that dreams are made of. While this is my favorite bar in every respect, it is also my favorite Atlanta restaurant. It isn't the fanciest place in town, but it has an outstanding pub atmosphere. The bartenders are the BEST! Love their food, chef and preparation. You will NOT be disappointed.

Picked the Wrecking Bar Brewpub because the diverse menu would cater to the different food choices/intolerances in our group. In retrospect, that amazing menu might have been the reason things didn't go well. It's really hard to be great at a wide variety of things.Very cool atmosphere in the basement of the Kriegshaber House, a historic Atlanta mansion. Fantastic job on the physical space. Super cozy, the temperature was comfortable, and the music was a nice volume. Beautiful bar. We didn't feel squished or weirdly exposed despite being in a center table. Outside was beautiful! Our server was fine. Not particularly engaging, but helpful and not unpleasant. Got the job done. The food, however, was a disappointment. We had a burger, a mushroom melt, and Summer Harvest Plate entree. Portion sizes were strange. The burger was small but came with an absolute boatload of quite good fries. This was handy for everyone else to fill up. No tomato on the burger. :( The burger was "fine" but the eater repeatedly commented on the size. She would have left hungry if it hadn't been for the fries. The Harvest Plate entree was the size of a small salad - definitely not an entree. The individual ingredients were spectacular but there wasn't enough of anything to get any true enjoyment out of it - by the time you figured out the flavors, you were out of that item. The mushroom melt was a conundrum. It came out looking amazing. It was HUGE - like two whole sandwiches. However, it was mostly bread. It was good sourdough bread, but grilled without much in the way of butter or mayo or whatever so unpleasantly crusty, not good crusty. Only about half the bites actually had mushroom in them. The cheese and other toppings (all of which I love) weren't in enough quantity to really get a flavor of any of them. Probably would have been a much better sandwich if they'd taken the same quantity of toppings and put them on half as much bread. I ordered the bok choy as the side, and the portion was minute. It looked like someone had taken the dish, put bok choy in it, and then removed 3/4 of it.When we sat down, I commented to the table that I was going to try and change my reservation for a work dinner in a few week so I could bring people to this cool restaurant. By the time we left, we all decided that we didn't need to come back. Maybe for drinks at the bar and some fries, but not for a whole meal and most definitely not for people I want to be happy with their dinner.Lots of good reviews so hopefully we just had bad luck.
