Word of Mouth Kitchen

As I start to write this review, I'm still thinking of the amazing Salad Kofi made me.I stopped by the local market in downtown La Jolla and passed by word of mouth kitchen booth. As someone who is starting a new health kick, I asked him to surprise me with whatever he wants. Let's just say, my salad was hands down the best I've had in a very long time. You seriously could not buy this anywhere but from him. I call it the Natashas salad:Grilled mushrooms with fresh herbs, salmon and shrimps over a bed of kale and spinach with splashes of quinoa, broccoli, green beans, tomato, onion and a zesty dressing. IT WAS PERFECT. the meat was cooked to perfection, the greens were raw and crispy, the veggies refreshing and alive in my salad.I know what your thinking, it's just a salad, but once again the best salad you will ever have I promise. Stop by and give him a try!

I'm so happy I stumbled across this booth at the La Jolla farmers market. The owner had great energy and was so friendly and the salmon salad I got was amazing!! I'm excited to try the mushroom salad next time. I know where I'll be getting lunch every Sunday :)

I have tried a few of Kofi's salads and so far they have been nothing short of delicious! They are full of flavor and texture and they definitely fill you up! I could eat at least one of these a day! One particular salad I should mention is the Green Day salad. I have never liked asparagus but I told him I would try it and I have to say, I actually really liked it! He prepared it in a way that it was crispy and crunchy and so it blended in with the other flavors. He's the first person who has been able to get me to eat more than a bite of asparagus... I actually ate the entire salad!Kofi is full of life and has a passion for cooking, which definitely come out in his salads. I would definitely recommend him!

Word Of Mouth Kitchen has something that no one else can duplicate and that is the host & chef, Kofi.The food goes above and beyond anything you could expect and the atmosphere is exactly what you would picture when you think of "family experience".Eating here is an absolute must and great for anyone looking to do more than just having dinner.

I had "Word of Mouth" at La Jolla Open Aire market....and it was Delish!! Best dish I have had at any farmers market and at the most perfect timing!! I wanted something fresh, something Not fried, something that would make my body and mind feel happy and worth the money!! I got Shrimply Delicious and it was Ridiculous..(yes I rhymed)!! I ate it all, even took home some of it and had it later...I can't wait for next week!! Lol I was going to get my usual but ran into this great food stand and they reeled me in and I'm hooked!!

The Salmon Says salad was an amazing combination of delicious flavors. The salmon was perfectly cooked and of high quality! Healthy, tasty food, fair prices and friendly people. What more could you ask for?

I had Green day today for lunch at the La Jolla farmers market and it was so tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the greens were crisp and refreshing. I'll be recommending Word of Mouth kitchen to all of my friends!

Just tried Word of mouth today at the La jolla Farmer's market and loved it! The shrimply delicious salad was exactly that- shrimp cooked perfectly with unique flavors! Loved all the different combinations offered in the salads.A great addition to our market!

I love this stand at the La Jolla farmers market! Always fresh and tasty salads. I come every week to get them, the mushroom cloud is great and the owner is great and very personable! I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend!The food is a great intersection of healthy and satisfying. I had the salmon salad which I LOVED--they cooked the fish on the spot, to perfection. Awesome food and friendly people (Kofi is a really cool dude). I'm definitely going back to them at the Farmer's Market and I might even visit at the storefront.
