I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant, choosing the vegetable biryani and gobi manchurian with a request for both dishes to be spicy. Instead of incorporating spices into the cooking process, the kitchen simply topped both dishes with raw chopped green chilies, making them nearly inedible. Spiciness should be integrated into the dish, not just added as a garnish.Additionally, the gobi manchurian, priced at $17, was underwhelming. The portion size was small, and the quality did not justify the high price. The cauliflower pieces were large and not bite-sized, which made them cumbersome to eat. For $17, I expected better quality and more attention to portion size and preparation.

Impeccable service! nothing like their other location. The real deal is the food. We tried Chana masala, masala dosa, bhel, Masoor coffee and masala chai. Everything was 5 stars except bhel, which was more like a 4 or 3.5.When food arrived you can tell it was just cooked to order. Batoora still has smoke coming out and dosa was crispy and Chana masala was one of most authentic in this region. I will definitely come back when I am crazing vegetarian food.Restaurant is clean, staff is always moving around, checking with customers and cleaning at the same time.

We've eaten at Woodlands in Framingham several times and have come away impressed by the food, service, and ambiance. During our visits it wasn't ever terribly crowded (we avoid peak hours) and the ambiance was nice and relaxing. Once the place gets crowded it could get loud. Back when this location was Volturno we avoided it due to the clamor; I'm not sure if subsequent changes to the decor have improved matters. The menu is extensive (note: I wrote 'extensive,' not necessarily 'expensive'), so if you're able, I'll advise you to familiarize yourself with it online before your trip. The Sweet Corn Vegetable soup was good though I was hoping for more corn in it (judging from its photo). The Veggie Spring Rolls were excellent, as was the Masala Papad, although the latter was surprisingly spicy which wasn't obvious from the ingredient list. The Onion Spinach Pakora were a tremendous hit, and for a "small bite" it was extremely generous. We had a few Dosas which were tasty, though a little challenging to eat. :-) Other dishes we tried were Saag Paneer and Kadai Paneer Masala. Overall the food was very good -- I wouldn't say exceptional, although we're accustomed to eating non-vegetarian Indian food so it's tough for us to compare with the dishes we typically order from other restaurants.

We were a large party of 12, and the team handled everything very well. The good was terrific throughout all the courses. Lots of familiar options and many new dishes as well, including paneer pakora, tikka and biryani. highly recommended!

Truly the worst restaurant dining experience encountered in years. Food: The soup ordered tasted like hot sauce and vinegar boiled with chopped cabbage and raw onion added as garnish. It was unpalatable. How could soup taste so terrible? It takes a lot of effort to make soup inedible. Service: what service?! The wait staff "mistakenly" added an entree which was never ordered by our party to the total bill. It was directly disputed and instead of voiding the transaction they manually adjusted the total. Very shady! Beware - make sure to look at the final bill prior to payment! Ambiance: beautiful interior is misleading for quality of current environment. The sophisticated wallpaper, lighting & floors were carefully selected and done by previous restaurant tenant. If you enjoy going out for a pleasant dining experience then please do avoid this one at all cost to your digestive system and wallet. Suggestion to the owners: please hire people who can cook and bring in the crowds, not draw them away from the restaurant. Be open to criticism and learn from it. Do better. Create happiness instead of chasing after profit marginally.

PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING THIS PLACE!!!!!!I yesterday visited this restaurant and had an absolutely horrendous experience. I am not sure how they are getting 5 star reviews. We ordered thali, food was absolutely stale and cold(right from the refrigerator), the rice/biryani which I am not sure why was the part of a south Indian Thali was stale and smelly. The curries had unhealthy level of oil in it, the least they could do is serve fresh food, but clearly, this place doesn't care about quality. To make matters worse, my 4 year old discovered chewing gum stuck under the table. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. What's even more alarming is that younger kids can easily access this filth. It's a serious health hazard and speaks volumes about the lack of cleanliness and hygiene standards at this establishment.Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about its customers and their health. I wish I could give -ve stars or no stars at all if there was an option.P.S. This Man/Lady claims that we consumed the dish here as well as on google reviews, I wonder what length can someone go to prove themselves right - My husband did show the waitress how cold was it and she had touched the dal and she was extremely sorry for the experience, we had sent the dish back with no replacement, not to mention our entire days mood was spoiled. If having 2-3 bites of rice which my hungry 4 year old demanded in the being called as consuming the dish, why not serve just 2-3 bites in one dish?

I don't get some of these reviews, this place is sooo good. We got a takeout order of tikka masala, aloo gobi, naan, and samosas. Really good flavors, very soft naan, not too spicy and fresh. So excited to have an excellent vegetarian spot in Framingham!
