First time here. Walked in on a Saturday evening for an early dinner with no wait. Food and service were great and super affordable! Would highly recommend this spot and we plan on coming back to try their entree items

We absolutely loved this restaurant. We started with the meat Ragu arancini. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey and the wood + fire pizza was delicious. Then we ended the night with the churros with Nutella and sweet ricotta. Fantastic service from Kristen. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Cozy place with great food. Their mac & cheese appetizer is amazing, and their pizza is tough to beat. I'm surprised by the bad reviews due to service. Every business is struggling to find workers. And for some people, serving at night is their second job after working elsewhere during the day. This would help explain the lack of help during the day. Keep an open mind before hammering a business due to lack of help.

This place is so yummy. I've done their pizza as take out and dine in, and last night we got The Cacio Peppe and the chicken parm. All of it was amazing. And then we had tiramisu for dessert and that also was amazing. Love this place.

Been there a few times during the day. And it's been busy one person on the floor. Phone ringing and customer waiting. It's ridiculous why would a restaurant have one person . Not good for business. Get more help. The food was delicious. Sorry for the late post.

Wood and Fire to me serves the best pizza in Melrose. Their appetizers and entrees are all very good. I would strongly recommend the eggplant rollatini. The wait staff are all very attentive and helpful. Only draw back to me has been when ordering take out. If they tell me 30 minutes I plan on 45 unless I want to wait in what can be a very cramped space.

Abysmal service and management by Omar on a quiet Sunday evening. Came in around 7pm on Sunday, dining area had maybe 2-3 tables including ours, kitchen appeared fully staffed. Ordered 2 appetizers and 4 pizzas. After 35 minutes of waiting we finally asked the waitress for the appetizers which then came 5 minutes later. Calamari was great, but fries were already cold and hard. The whole time we have a view of the wood oven and have not seen anything come in or out. After finishing the appetizers 15 minutes later we ask about the pizzas, which have yet to be even prepped, the waitress repeatedly asked Omar for our food. At this point we were the only ones there. After waiting a total of 50 minutes for 4 pizzas we finally see them preparing the dough. Like it was the first time they heard that someone ordered pizza. When we asked about the wait, Omar responded "do you want to do take out instead?" Mind you we've been here for an hour. No apologies or excuses from staff whatsoever. Knowing it would probably take 15-30 minutes more, we decided to leave. Wait staff even mentioned that they don't want to leave late and did not want to be there either and Omar with a full kitchen staff and one table in the restaurant finally said "sorry we have a lot of takeout". When we clearly see no pizzas come out the oven for the past hour. And when we asked for the bill for the apps, best they could say is "you don't have to tip us". Unbelievable.
