Wonderful Sushi

Great service and awesome atmosphere and, most importantly, delicious nigiri! Will be coming back for sure!

1st time here this evening and it was a pleasant surprise. We sat at the sushi bar and John was our sushi chef for the evening. He greeted us with a seaweed salad and cucumber salad. It was one of the best cucumber salads we've had. It wasn't complex but simple but tasty. We ordered the brand new Spicy Wonderful roll and assorted nigiri (Salmon, Tuna, yellowtail, mackerel, escolar and salmon roe.Before we left we ordered the Seared salmon belly... oh my!!!! Out of this world. All were fantastic!!!! Highly recommend this place! We will be back!!!

*Under new ownership *Absolutely love supporting a family owned restaurant that is passionate about their food. The portions are generous and I can not wait to sit at the sushi bar. Everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh! The restaurant is clean with attentive staff. Mom is absolutely adorable and coming here made it feel like I was a guest at someone's home. Hope to make to their Happy Hour sometime soon!

3.5 Had lunch with a cousin and tried out this place in Rancho Penasquitos town center. It was hidden in a corner area. We ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box and salmon Bento box. In addition we chose a few sushi rolls on the menu. There were a lot of variations to choose from! The food was good.

I went to my daughter's home for lunch, and she said let's have Wonderful Sushi! I didn't think at the time that I would taste the best sushi I've ever had in my life (I'm 73 years old.)So fresh and delicious. We ate all fish rolls and they were just amazing. I mean it the best.!!! We had it delivered, and just loved every mouthful !Thank you for knowing how to make sushi the way it was meant to taste

Come here once a week with my girlfriend. Staff is very friendly. Quick service, reasonable pricing, couldn't recommend it more!

Arrived here on a Wednesday night, We got seated right away. We ordered a couple of items, Philadelphia roll, mixed tempura, El Fuego house roll, sushi combo, and toro nigiri. The tempura was good, fried crispy and fresh! The sashimi was pretty fresh not bad. Salmon sushi was good, el fuego was nice amount of spice. There wasn't that much rice in the roll which is goodThe toro was kinda disappointing but it wasn't bad. Toro usually melts in the mouth but this one didn't....All in all not a bad place for sushi, pretty good for the price!

I just moved into the area and had a baby, so wasn't able to eat sushi for a long time. Now that baby is born I've been so excited to enjoy it again. I've come here a few times and loved it. The food is super good, they have great lunch specials, and the service is excellent. It is such a hidden gem. Have been telling everyone about it.

The place is cozy and clean! Now it's my favorite spot to go :)The service is good and very quick. I also tried the to-go mackerel bento; it's boneless and has a big piece of fish! Very satisfying!
