Wonder Bar was crowded tonight since they hosted the Jackson St. Jazz Walk. I first sat next to the band on a bar. I went to the restroom and this guy who stated that he was owner was sitting on my chair. He asked if I wanted to sit down. Earlier he sat at another chair next to me. So he basically kicked me off the bar. I said I will need to ask to share a table with elsewhere with strangers. But hood thing these ladies let me sit down at yheir table. I had to then get the waitress' attention and ordered the lamb. I asked how was it cooked. She did not understand me and said fried. It was actually in a spicy stew. She gave me water with no ice. So it was very warm. The Food is very spicy so it was weird that she gave me just warm water. After she dropped off my food, I asked for a fork. It took her over a half hr to get me one. I thought she forgot and started eating the traditional way with my hands. It got very messy. The bill had 3.5% serv. Charge for using a credit card. I left cash and the tip worked out to 15% if she deducted the charge. Simce they printed new paper menus there was no mention of an extra charge for credit cards. She did not say anything or A Thank You, when she picked up my tab with the cash too. The music was going too. The mirror in the restroom was broken off too. Basically, it was not very goid service but it seemed they hired extra waitstaff. So come on a slow might if you want better service. I used to hang out here too with my laptop on slow might when I leaved a few blocks away.

Wow. This was such a pleasant experience. It's my first time having Ethiopian food and the Spicy Lamb Tibs were so delicious. (Forgot to take pics)I came for a Jazz night after party and the place was packed. Despite being busy these servers were hustling! I couldn't help but watch their team take care of everyone. I'll be back to listen to the jazz and explore more Ethiopian cuisine! Worth a visit when you're in this part of Seattle.

This place needs a proper marketing team because their food is BOMB!!!! One of the best Ethiopian platters I've had in MY LIFE !!!! (SO much better than shewa-ber across the street). Everything on the platter below was SO good (except the carpaccio (raw), I'd take that out)! The star was Derek Tibs (cast iron fried meat with onions and jalapenos). I would order that on its own. I also hate lentils and could not stop scarfing down their lentils! Don't think twice, go here asap!!!!!

The food was so good and fresh. Very well seasoned, not oily (many places I go give me wicked heartburn because of too much oil. Trust it ain't the spice, I'm a 5-alarm fire gal). Really delicious with great portions. The value for the price is also totally on point.Got the meat sampler plate, gomen on the side (it's one of my favorite things, for whatever reason), and a smoked old fashioned. The old fashioned came out LITERALLY smoked. When I removed the coaster, poof: smoke. Imagine my surprise finding that in an Ethiopian restaurant/ sports bar. BRAVO! Y'all got big points for that one.The server was very sweet, gave prompt and kind service, and I would 100% go back. 10/10!

My friend and I had an amazing time here at Wonder. The other Ethiopian place we wanted to try was closed for the holiday, so we popped by to this place, not knowing what to expect. Be prepared to wait but it was well worth it! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the veggie and meat combos - everything was cooked to perfection. My friend loved their Derek Tibs and I really loved just everything in the veggie combo. The injera was soo good - and the ambience was eclectic but worked out. Think wine bar that happens to have a large TV. Would definitely make a pit stop here again the next time I'm in Seattle.

All time great Ethiopian. Great service and the foo, i think, is some of the best in seattle. I usually grt a meet combo for two (ordering multiple if theres more than 2 people). They also have a selection of ethiopian beer that are fun to try.

First time I've ever had Ethiopian food and I loved it! I wasn't sure of what I wanted to get but the waitress was super sweet and helped me figure it out. I got the lamb tibs and it definitely had a little kick. I liked how they had a scale for a level of spice you wanted to order
