Wolfgangs Steakhouse

Very standard steak house, no surprise and to a degree mediocre. We ordered the porterhouse at medium and it was a bit over cooked.

This restaurant has not been open long. So if you aren't one that can work with the kinks then this place may not be for you. I do have a high tolerance but when the whole time seems off you do become weary. When we walked in we were greeted, asked if we had a reservation and when asked if we wanted to sit in a booth we waited for 2 minutes since the table was not set up. Our initial waiter took our drink order and then said he would check in the back to see what meat was available in the back. Next thing you know we have a new waiter helping us. The 2nd waiter knew what he was doing. He seem like head honcho and made sure all the tables were running smoothly in that joint.To eat/drink we had the following:Moscow mule: wasn't very bubbly drink was flat and the ginger part wasn't really there. Didn't ask for a second drink so that should tell you how that went. Jumbo Shrimp cocktail: 4 jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce on the side. The shrimp was delicious and was good for 2 people. Ribeye Steak: got it medium and it was perfect. The ribeye was recommended to us by our waiter. Had good amount of meat and fat and was on a bone. I'm not sure if they season their steaks like a lot of steakhouses do but I added lemon and that did it for me. Broccoli: we got sautéed broccoli but there wasn't much to rave about. Kind of seem like broccoli you could find in those microwaveable steam bags. Overall the food was good (oh and they do give you break and butter when you sit down). As I said they are a new restaurant (the server said they opened last year) but I personally would probably wait a bit before I visit again.

Horrible service. The restaurant was basically empty yet the staff was sitting on couching near the bar talking all night. I had to get up and ask if they had forgotten about us. The food was good was good but they should have warned us that "sides" could have been shared. . If I'm going to spend $500 I would rather go to another steakhouse.

A blind imitation of Peter Luger with ludicrous effection. Food and service do not match the interior renovation.

Relaxing place, elegant space but not dressy, warm atmosphere, and a nice place to be when it was freezing outside. Friendly staff. We were seated by the window. Portions are to be shared! Expensive lobster but that is everywhere nowadays. Whole lobster was $220. Wine was refreshing. Our bill for a family of 4 was $575.24.

It's not worth trying. Tom was my waiter, and he was so rude. He did not care about providing good service to anyone but Herb Chambers, who was dining at the table next to us. Tom did not check on us at all. It was a battle to get his attention. I'll stick to Mastro's The steak was blandMash potatoes were tasty Cream spinach was amazingOnion rings trash

The food is so messed up that it's cracked in New York's reputation.I don't want to pay this money again or recommend it to anyone.

Here's another of my fave Boston steakhouses. I dropped in at the last minute but had no trouble finding a table, with a great waiter who guided me to a less expensive wine than the one I'd chosen. The steak was exactly as i ordered "Pittsburgh Rare", the mushrooms he recommended were sensational, the tomato/onion salad like off the vine. I loved everything

Late night dinner, the suggestion are so good! The service are great. Will definitely come next time.
