Always love this place. Great sushi! Fabulous dishes and appetizers. Great happy hour! Fun place.

Not fresh, microwaved old food. Credit card fees paid by customers. Came here on a whim of convenience. It's Asain but also not Asian. Let's start with the Fun stuff, they have a happy hour. It was a solid okay with deals, I ordered a spicy crab sushi roll it was very solid okay. I asked for lemons, 3 times they finally came, I asked for sriracha or spicy Mayo for my roll but had to get up to get it. (It wasn't busy) 3 other tables. This place looks like a bar inside. There's guitars hanging yet it's a a Asian place. It doesn't smell like food like at all inside there. Which threw me off. -- now let's talk about my food and my friends food. I didn't know what I wanted because my intuition was saying to stay away lol. (I should have listened) but I was visiting with my friend who I never see from Alabama she's here for work. - she ordered the Udon noodles. She rated them a 6-7.5 I said it's a solid 6.5 for me. It came family style but wasn't really "fresh" like the waitress had claimed. I order beef and broccoli (broccoli beef--I was corrected afterwards) and my heck the rice had to be 3 days old. The beef was SO WELL DONE I couldn't get it to break up in my mouth from chewing. ‍ it was so incredibly salty I tried to use some of the rice to settle the salty ass flavor lol the beef got so stuck in my teeth literally lodged inbetween my teeth because the meat just wouldn't break down. I'm not convinced this was cooked fresh LIKE ATTTTTT ALLLLLL!!! They have to be microwaving old food I've never seen rice look like that like wtf!!! I'm sad I don't have a picture!! _Oh and guess what?! -they charge a credit card fee?! Like wtf???? Don't own a business if you can't handle the fees. Accept cash only then. Its 2024 and you're making customers pay credit card fees jokes on you. The waitress was nice when they did talk to us. Our empty waters sat at the end of the tables she refilled one not the other. It was just weird. I am surprised this place even has this high of a rating.

Tried this place near my work for a quick sushi bite and this place was pretty good! They have a good selection of rolls and other entrees. We got a mixture of rolls with chicken fried rice, maki rolls, miso soup, and Bahn mi tostadas. The service was a bit slow but it was good. The whole restaurant is rock and roll themed. There were guitars and rock quotes all over the place. This place is a great and very easy going.

Really odd experience. The music was weird and slightly off putting and the energy was strange. The sushi chef was super sweet and made us this fruit art. The egg drop soup was a green color and it felt wrong eating it. I left feeling confused, but the Crab Rangoons are really good.

Excellent food and vibe, the pad Thai is really good, they have a great happy hour service can be slow , but otherwise good. Definitely a unique atmosphere.

Food was spectacular! We enjoyed the jalapeño popper dish...OMG freakin' delicious. Las Vegas roll, pretty standard but the freshness and presentation was up a notch. And a specialty roll, can't recall the name topped with salmon and mango, again freakin delicious! Service experience was extraordinary. Server was his first day, you wouldn't have known. Such a great personality. He was under supervision by a coworker who also was awesome. They had to deal with an unruly customer and did so flawlessly. Ambiance is inviting, fun, casual. Feel super relaxed and welcome. Listen you need to come here and especially during happy hour. A gem in the valley.

I had a great experience popping into Wok 'N Roll for lunch! Good food, solid prices, reliable service, and a clean and upbeat location. I recommend this if you are looking for a quick sushi spot in the Scottsdale area! Pros: - Great service: Wait staff was responsive, smiley, and accurate! Wait times were not too long either, we got our food promptly! - Generous deals and specials: There are happy hour specials which allow for heavily reduced prices on sushi and on drinks! I believe that the drink happy hour begins at 11am and goes until 4-5. Sushi specials begin a bit later in the day and are worth considering if you plan to come with a larger group! - Awesome portion size: Portion size was very generous for the price. I was quite hungry and left very satisfied! My partner was unable to finish his meal in one sitting and took some food home with him. - Fun environment: The environment inside the restaurant was happy and upbeat! Guitars, funny painted sayings, and lots of TVs showing different sporting events. There is also an outdoor seating area. - Flavorful and delicious food: The food was quite delicious, good variety of sushi and noodle plates. The Pad Thai, which I got, had amazing texture and seasonings. - Convenient location: Located about a 5 minute drive from Old town scottsdale, convenient to Scottsdale Road and Indian School Road. Lots of parking available! Cons: - Long wait times on delivery: If you are ordering out, it can take a while to receive your food if you are ordering at peak hours.

A little expensive for basic sushi rolls. I was expecting my shrimp tempura roll to be larger considering it was $11. That's double the normal price. The theme is rock and roll and sushi, which is a pretty unique concept. They had a DJ come in on Friday night for karaoke. Place was pretty low key, and we left before the music started.

My husband and I came here for some happy hour sushi. They have such great deals and the sushi is delicious and fresh. Our service was great, and I loved sitting outside on the patio. We will continue to come back for sushi!

Going to be completely honest, walking in we felt like it was dark and more of the dive bar feel. Didn't feel like the food would be of good quality, but boy am I glad we decided to stay! The food happy hour menu was great. We tried 3 rolls and loved them all. Our server Grace was awesome, really friendly and the perfect amount of attentiveness. Pay with cash to avoid CC processing fee.
