Shrimp Dumplings in the far shot.
Pan Fried White Turnip Cake with Xo Sauce. A hard no and a definite miss. My favorite DimSum plate and was very disappointed.
Shrimp HarGow. Very bad and a miss.
Fried noodle in soy sauce. While not a DimSum dish, this was good.

As a kid, I used to love coming here for dim sum. Winsor is a smallish Chinese spot that offers dim sum & other Chinese dishes. It was my favorite place to go for dimsum in Chinatown but since then, have not visited much. Today, I was feeling hungry and wanted to order something for lunch. I decided to hop on UberEats and do some searching. I ended up getting Winsor today after canceling out the two other places I had in mind. I got 3 items: a large pork & century egg congee, fried dough, & a dimsum item steamed pork wrapped w/ bean curd in oyster sauce. Very yummy, especially with the hot chili oil! I wish I had asked for white pepper for the congee but still had the perfect amount of salt. Overall, I recommend coming here for dim sum or even just for some Chinese food!

Winsor Dim Sum Cafe marked my last meal in Boston, and it was a wonderful way to say goodbye to such a remarkable city. I arrived afraid that I would not be able to get a seat amongst the bustling room of diners, but the staff was super friendly and offered to seat me at a table with others. As I was dining alone and had never been to this establishment, it was helpful to see what other people at my table ordered.I went all out for my last meal, and I'm not ashamed! I started off with congee and Chinese donut sticks. And then the deluge of food arrived. Sweet and fluffy roast pork buns were delicious, the steamed rice rolls with beef were chewey, meaty, salty, and sweet - hitting so many flavor notes - I savored each of the three rolls. The shrimp and chive dumplings (steamed) were also fabulous, and I made sure to sop them up in some of the leftover rice roll sauce and chili oil. I had never had sticky rice in lotus leaves before, but they were really filling and meaty (pork). I didn't expect the pan-fried turnip cakes dish to be so big, but it was everything that I love in turnip cakes - lightly fried, cut into small bites with bean sprouts and green onions and a hint of shrimp flavor. Finally, I enjoyed warm soy milk with some of the donut sticks. The soy milk was just a little sweet (perfect!) and the donut sticks were crispy even after sopping up the milk. The restaurant space might be small, but it packs a big punch - both with friendly staff and delicious food. So glad I ended my trip on such a high note!

I love dim sum for brunch - forget avocado toast or pancakes, dim sum is what really hits the spot. A friend proposed Winsor; I was anticipating a long wait because we were a big group and going during prime weekend lunch time so imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when we headed inside and the waitress immediately cleared out a big table for us. It's a small-ish space with a paper menu and pen, so no old-school ladies pushing around the carts. That said, everything came out fast and piping hot, and for a table of 7 that ate fully to their hearts' content, the total for each person plus tip came out to just under $30. Not bad, given how expensive eating out lately has become. My favorites: The egg custard buns - these were super fluffy and soft, with a luscious eggy filling. The shrimp steamed dumplings - nice chunks of shrimp, wrapper wasn't too thick. The sesame buns with red bean paste - be careful, these will burn your tongue and roof of mouth if you bite in too quickly, like I did. The egg tarts - sometimes they run out of these if you go too late. The only thing I wouldn't order again were the steamed spare ribs - a little too fatty/gristly, with hardly any meat. I also wish they had more than one veggie dish on the dim sum menu. The U-choy with oyster sauce didn't really scratch my itch for some much-needed fiber in an ocean of carbs. Plus you could buy a bag of the same veggies and a bottle of oyster sauce from a nearby Chinese supermarket and feed yourself for much less than the $6.50 cost of the dish. Service was fast and friendly, including refilling our pots of tea.

The food was amazing. It came super quickly too. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty full. Most of the dim sum items are $6.19 each with some costing more than that on a seperate menu. The tea is $1.25. The service was also very nice. Cash is preferred. I wish I knew that sooner but oh well.

Food was delicious as was service. Not the cleanest bathroom or nicest ambiance, but the quality of food and price made it worth it!

This is officially my favorite dimsum place in Chinatown! Came on a slow Monday night about two hours before they closed. I really like how you order via a sheet and not off a cart- definitely less intimidating for people who aren't familiar with the more traditional dimsum spots. Our food came out pretty fast, and I thought everything was decently priced. Only took a picture of the turnip cake because we just couldn't wait to dig in! And this was my first time ordering turnip cake with sauce- highly recommend!! I will definitely be back.

Haven't been here in years. It's my mom's favorite place to get sweet tofu. I came by just to get couple sweet tofu to go. Lady at register said it'll take 15 minutes and it really took that long, or longer. It was a weekday afternoon and they had 6 people dining in. The guy in the kitchen came out with my bag of tofu and I took it and left. I opened the bag about an hour later, they forgot to provide me the ginger sugar syrup!! The tofu were still pretty warm so I just add sugar straight into them and stirred them up and sadly ate them. Tofu were silky and smooth, I just wished they didn't forget the syrup.

Good solid dim sum. The most delicious item we ate was the pork & shrimp siu mai. All the dim sum items are priced at the same rate. I believe it was $6.19. It's an unassuming place. At first, we thought it was closed, but you have to go upstairs to enter the restaurant where there's about 10 tables. Only one table was occupied when we arrived on a Monday just after 11:00am. Slowly, the lunch crowd started to trickle in. Since there were only two of us, we couldn't order as many items to try but what we did have was good. Service is fast once you mark your selection on a slip of paper.

I ordered two dishes and they don't even come with any rice. Also the seafood dish that I order, the shrimps and scallops was so small. Very disappointed and will never order from them again.
