Admittedly a lot better than expected. My boss and I popped up here the day we were flying back to our respective homes. Neither of us fancied the food at the hotel and we opted instead to find a nearby location for deep-dish pizza. This restaurant wound up being it.The waitress we had (Natalie was her name I believe) was very sweet and personable. We especially appreciated her letting us know we could still order a deep-dish pizza to share after we saw it'd take an hour to make per the menu. As it turns out, it was more like 30-45 minutes and we appreciated this as we were on a time crunch. That said, we had French fries and deep-dish pizza and both were tasty. I was surprised by the quality given that I didn't expect much. The deep-dish pizza especially was hearty and we even took back home some leftovers. That said, I've definitely had better deep-dish pizza, but this isn't to say this pizza was bad. Not at all honestly - it reheated rather well the next day. I'd definitely return if in the area. Decent grub and awesome service!

The burger was really good, but I was very sure I was being punked with the service. I walked in and there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. So I did-- there was the bartender doing his thing so I waited for about two minutes. Then a lady walked up and started messing around in the hostess area- never said anything to be-- finally as she was about to walk away she asked if I had been helped. I told her know and she nicely apologized, and took me to the table. As I waited for my friends, a water was brought to me (but not for the other seats). I sat unattended until my friends arrived. So when they got there I asked for a hot tea(feeling under the weather) and the waitress said they did not have hot tea. My friend said to me, just do hot water and lemon, and the waitress said they didn't have hot water.... Umm ok. I ordered a glass of wine and friends ordered a beer and a margarita. We talked a little and .. no drinks.. we asked the waitress and she said they were coming and took our food order. So we waited a bit more. My friend asked again about the drinks. She was like oh yeah, ok! So the drinks come out and right away our food comes out. At the end of the meal, we paid and waited for the change (we had already built in a 20 % tip but need a few bucks back from the cash pot). Didn't come- so I asked her and she said oh ok.... One friend had to leave so me and the other friend sat there waiting another 5-10 min talking until she finally brought the cash back. Honestly- I used to waitress in college, so I am very forgiving in the service industry--but this was the worst service I have had in a looong time. Truly thought we were being punked!

To be honest the pizza is good but the stars come from the lack of knowledge in cocktail service. As a person who enjoys her French 75s to be charged $32 for one , because they don't know how to properly make one is wild. To not properly prepared for popular cocktails is ridiculous all in itself.I hate complaining about black owned businesses but this is wild to me. I was charged for the gin and then the champagne that's used for it. Forcing me to drink a half flute of gin and then champagne. This is gives lack of safety precautions for their patrons and also a complete overcharge to make up for their lack there of. There in the suburb of the south loop and charge more then the upscale places next to them. This is wild. How do you expect a person of my size to drink a full cup gin? I came to have one drink (not two) and honestly I asked for an extra cup to properly create a one. I would not come here for a drink unless in a group to share. Their lack of knowledge of a simple cocktail is wild. This is a good after party spot but not a pre-game at all. If you're not a drinker who can hold liquor or in a group this is not the place for you. The most I've paid for a Frenchie is $22. The price is crazy and an improper way to make a Frenchie. 2/10 would not recommend

First time here, came with my coworkers to grab lunch. I would rate this place as a good outing with coworker. There is the space for it. I would say you need to be prepare to wait for a bit, only two server when we were there. So be prepare to wait for a bit to get your food order and wait for the food to come. The quality of food is good, the wings platter is a must to order. The flavor is there and it is crispy. I order a turkey burger and it was delicious. Street parking.

I went to this place last June & was just a tad bit dissatisfied with the service. But a couple of my buddies & I decided to give them another chance & by God, they redeemed themselves 100%. It was Friday night even so they were JAM PACKED, but the service was so spot on. It was a party of 7 of us & our waitress Tashawn (sp?) was right on point with our orders & kept such the pleasant demeanor. She didn't hesitate to check on us periodically & when I asked for a 2nd glass of water, she quickly came back to the table with two pitchers so we wouldn't have to ask again. Kudos to her BIG TIME!!! & as for the food, check these pics. I can't say enough about the quality of their dishes. I only had the wings, but my company had rave reviews. The guys that ate the pizza say it was probably the best deep dish they've ever had & that says a lot for being in Chicago. The pizza did take a while, but that's to be expected. Then there was the ambiance. With this being a Black owned business, they had a dj playing great R&B music & they were playing from a range of eras. He seemed to cater to all age groups, as he played music from the 2000s, but nothing this middle aged person wouldn't recognize, causing quite the comfortable evening for all of us. This is definitely a place I will frequent from this point forward.

During a visit to Chicago, a friend ranted and raved about this place: Black owned, great food (especially their chicken wings), and great service. Sure: Let's try them out! And on a Friday late afternoon/early evening we did...and I wish we hadn't.It's in a great location in South Loop, so you're going to get lots of traffic. On this particular Friday, though they were busy, they were not overwhelmed, as we were seated immediately and were brought glasses of water. Those were the only things that were immediate. We waited over 15 minutes to be addressed by a server, who was actually the host who seated us. After asking if we've been assisted and we said no, he took our drink orders. He placed the orders and then returned to take our food order. I explained to him that I was from out of town and that my friend (my dining companion) recommended the chicken wings, so I asked his opinion: He replied with, "I wish everyone would stop asking me about the wings. Ever since a guy came in here and recorded the wings on TikTok, it's all people ask about." (I didn't realize asking questions about the menu was frowned upon.)We placed our order: 2 orders of chicken wings, a side order of fries, and a side salad. The salad arrived first...but no silverware or napkins. Then the fries arrived...with no silverware or napkins. Finally, our wings arrived...with no silverware or napkins. When we asked the food runner who brought our wings about our cocktails, we were told, "I don't see no drinks on the bar waiting to be picked up and that's not my job" and walked away. Finally, 22 minutes after placing our cocktail order, one cocktail arrived by a man who I assume was part of management (as he wasn't in a server uniform). We inquired on the 2nd one, which he left to retrieve. When he returned, he asked if "everything is okay". As I started to share with him my concerns about my dining experience thus far, he literally turned his back and walked away from me. When our host/server came to check on us a few minutes later, we still hadn't received silverware or napkins. Coupled with the lengthy wait for cocktails (even with 3 bartenders working) and the employee walking away from me mod-conversation, I shared with the host/servers my dissatisfaction in my dining experience thus far and that I was no longer interested in my meal. After a quick, rehearsed "I'm sorry", he hurriedly took my plates away (which I hadn't eaten my food as I still had no silverware or napkins and was no longer interested in eating the meal), said he would comp my meal and our drinks, and walked away. When our check around, we waited over 10 minutes for it to be picked up by for payment. My dining partner recommended that pay at the front of the restaurant. At the front, another man (assuming he's part of management because he wasn't in a serve uniform) asked if he could assist me. When I informed him I wanted to pay, he stated that normally servers take payment at the table, asked what table I was at, and said he'd send the server to our table. I returned to my table, only to have him follow me and state that I turned my back on him before he could finish assisting me and that he could take my payment at the front. I'm sorry: If you could do that, then why ask for my table and say you'd send my server over?Even after this subpar dining experience, I still decided to leave an approx. 50% tip (since my friend ate his food). Hopefully, the tip and the feedback I (tried) to share twice encourages them to improve upon their customer service. However, after this first visit to Williams Inn, this will be my only visit to Williams Inn.

Popped in on a school night to catch the games and eat a lil something. Vibe was chill, not crowded and plenty of bar seating. My server at the bar was chill. I just ordered the flight of six wings which is optional 2 flavors or one of each of the six. I went with two flavors barbecue and hot. Opted for ranch and blue cheese on the side. The chicken was cooked well and extremely hot when it came out barbecue was amazing but the buffalo was wayyyyy too spicy. Like to the point I could not eat them. I ate the first three pretty quickly so they weren't soggy. By the time I'd made it the hot not only were they too too hot as in sauce but they were beginning to get soggy. Maybe next time sauce on the side? Lastly, gratuity is added so be warned and read your bill before paying. Other than that, I live in the area so I would stop by again.

Found this place on google maps and decided to give it a try. So glad we did too! Our bartender, Andrew, is the man. He made us some drinks that were simply outstanding. His skill and pride he makes drinks is on full display. He recommended food for us and it didn't disappoint. We tried the Italian beef pizza and were so glad we did. Flavorful and spicy along with a buttery crust. So if you're in the area, stop by and visit with Andrew. You'll be so glad you did!
