I can't say enough great things about this quaint wine bar/shop. It is intimate, and cozy, and the owner Carol is not only a sweetheart but extremely knowledgeable. She is quick to tell you all the details about the wines they sell and are pouring during their daily tastings. Stop by anytime Tuesday -Saturday for a very reasonable 5$ tasting, or a cheese and antipasto plate (or both). They also serve wines by the glass that range in price but are all extremely affordable. This is a great place to spend an hour (or three) any given afternoon chatting and sipping it up. Everyone who visits the shop is extremely friendly and there is a genuine sense of community that comes across. So glad to have wild side wines not only because of the amazing wine and atmosphere, but because of the people I have met from stopping by.

Best wine bar in Tacoma. Tastings everyday. You get to know everyone right away. As the Dutch say it's gezellig. Great selection and reasonable prices too. Also monthly wine dinners.

I really enjoy this place. The wine tastings are very relaxing and informative and we almost always have the opportunity for great conversations with other people stopping in for a tasting. Carol is a also a pleasure to chat with, and always remembers things we tell her about our lives, which I find very impressive as I am sure they have many customers! We usually go on Saturday afternoons, which are usually pretty quiet and relaxing, but Fridays are fun too if you are looking for a more lively atmosphere.

I love this little wine store. The knowledge of the owners and the people they bring in for tastings (been to 2 tastings, one with a wine maker and one with a distributor) is very helpful. Great wines, great prices - very specialized compared to your local grocery store and not an exclusive like winestyles, so more variety!

We were invited to a private (donated) wine tasting last Saturday night...it was wonderful! The couple was informative, great appetizers and they chose an awesome selection of wines. We so appreciate their hospitality and look forward to patronizing this business in the future.

This shop is perfect for all range of wine drinkers. The owners know a lot about wine but never make you feel put down. They happily make recommendations for any price range. I'm comfortable bringing my business associates, bosses and close friends and family in. The shop is warm and inviting and everyone is treated well ... whether you pick up some wine or just sample some wine. No pressure and lots of fun.

A wonderful little wine shop with a higher level of wine selection than most places in Tacoma. Carol, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about wines worldwide and is very friendly. Many return customers visit here often. This is the "Cheers" of neighborhood wine shops. I can wholeheartedly recommend this wine shop over any other in Tacoma! Go there! Buy good wine!

I've lived near by for 12 years, as long as this place has been opened and yet I didn't even know it existed. Silly me. It's a tiny little space just off 6th Ave. I walked in on a Saturday and they weren't even opened yet but Carol, who is the owner, was happy to let me just hang out and visit until they were. For $6 you can taste five or six wines, both red and white and she's so knowledgeable about all the wines. Their prices are way better than most of the big box stores and they have wines that you can't get any place else. By the time I left, the place was full and most seemed to be regular customers. You can purchase items to eat, like cheese and meat plates but Carol also provides complimentary pretzels if you just need a bite in between. Will certainly go back and try more wine.
