Saturday lunch rush, UGH! Our server was having a hard time with the flow. Our party of 7 put in a food order 20 mins after being seated...not bad. After another 30 mins, we watched our food sit on the pick up window for 30 mins more before it started making it to the table. This was concerning because a few plates included fish. One of the burgers came to us with just meat and bread. no cheese. no veggies. no condiments. Everybody eventually got their food except one and later we found out the server didn't put it in the kitchen. (bowl of chowder and a fondu app) He tried to compensate with an overfilled bowl and later excluded it from the bill. That was nice but they threw the fondu together and it arrived looking like something we'd make at home. The manager came to the table and also ended up removing that from the bill. Ok, so they attempted to make it right but when we go to eat, we don't expect excuses like, "We're busy, so..." We've dined here before and it was a different experience, so maybe this time was a fluke. Who knows. For a $200 lunch, we'd hope for things to be more on point. We probably won't go back as a result however.

There are a few reasons for my rating 2 stars is about what I believe this place deserves. 35 minutes to be seated, although there were empty booths, a center long table empty in the bar, and wide open patio seating (we asked for 1st availability in ANY area). The waitress addressed us and asked if we needed a minute, we said, "No, we are ready to order we had already reviewed the menu while we waited" her response was "Okay, I'll come back" then walked away... wait? WHAT just happened? She took the order from the table next to us because (in her words) the children were hungry... SO ARE WE!Photos of food are attached to review.Undercooked shrimp , Rubbery Calamari. Burnt Bread. Lukewarm Chowder. Pork was also burnt and hard to chew in my Bahmi. For the $118 we paid for "lunch," we should have gone to Dukes. Katie Downs or even the Ram. Never again.I will add, when asked if we wanted to go box, my response to her was I'd rather speak to the manager about the food. She never came back. Neither will we.

Great views. Such a cute little spot along the water with really great view of Rainier in the distance. Service was great. Apps, salads, fish. All of it great. I really don't think there's a bad seat in the place and the Ruston area is just a super quaint little lakeside shopping and dining spot. I'm definitely going to go back. Note that the restaurant also validates your parking. So don't forget to do that!

We decided to have lunch at WildFin Grill while we were poking around Ruston. Several things to start with: Our waitress, Morgan, was wonderful and was helpful in our selections. She was knowledgeable and helped me out with a few tasters of draft cider, beer, etc until I found my match. We ordered two things: the Shrimp and Grits and the Cajun Seared Fish Street Tacos. We were recently in NOLA and my cutie was still wishing for Shrimp and Grits... and look, here they are.Of the two dishes, the Shrimp and Grits were really good, and the Street Tacos were ok, definitely not flavorful enough for me. I have ideas on spicing them up, like using more cajun spice. I know it's WA, and people either love spicy or hate it, but if you call it Cajun Seared, then it should have a little Cajun spark of heat. Also, again, the salsa was very mild, as in VERY mild, like a small amount of tomato salad, with some onions. The Shrimp and Grits were flavorful and authentic. If I were getting them, I would skip the egg. I am not a fan of eggs on top of things, but my cutie loved them. Morgan was from the South, and she gave them pretty high marks; she was spot on.Then there is the view. It's a amazing waterfront restaurant, if it had been a tad warmer, we would have sat outside on the deck. It was gorgeous looking over the water as we ate.The last thing that was really important to me was that the restaurant is committed to serving sustainable seafood. They are aligned with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood List and the James Beard Foundation Smart Catch. I personally like knowing that I am not destroying the ocean when I eat, so there is that as well. So, yes, I would come back next time I was in Ruston.

Mostly all locally sourced food, they even put little placards up that show the farms and sources. We set a reservation up for 6:30. Arrived at 6 and they seated us right away, a perfect table in the back corner overlooking the water. The water for the table is in a tall glass bottle with a flip over cap. Somewhat cold. We finished the first bottle and another was brought before our glasses were empty. The Calamari was good. It comes resting in the sauce with a few jalapeños sliced on top. I ordered the Trout Dijon, that was good, on top of kale with little potatoes. The potatoes were okay, not that good. $27My wife ordered the seafood fettuccini, it was really good! Lot's of big pieces of salmon, cod and large shrimp. It could have perhaps had a little more noodles, but they did not go cheap on the meats. $30We did wish that the fettuccini came with bread. It did not, so we had to order the bread extra. Total $90.The to-go boxes were provided and our server even provided little plastic containers for the butter for the bread. Nice touch. The view was nice, service was good and it was not too loud.Nice place to bring a loved one, good friend or business colleague.

WildFin is Wonderful!! Last night our family celebrated my Mother's 72nd Birthday and she is a seafood lover and she loves a view. Well honey I delivered! I requested a a table with a view and baby that is what we got. Beautiful early evening/sunset view. We started with drinks. I had a classic Cosmo and the scratch margarita. Both were on point and so delicious. I had more than one Cosmo ;) Next for an appetizer we had the Calamari. We all really enjoyed the calamari. They were not the typical circle cut. These were more of a plump rectangular shape. They were meaty lightly battered and seasoned nicely. The calamari were placed on top of a zesty slightly spicy jalapeño aioli. For dinner we ordered the King Salmon with broccolini, marble potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and avocado lime verde sauce. I prefer my salmon grilled firm. This dish was very tasty! I was pleased.Next was the Smoky Chipotle Waygu beef street tacos. My son said these were a 4 out of 5. Beef was tender well seasoned the tortillas were homemade and the fresh tomatillo salsa. This order comes with 3 tacos. My mom ordered the Northwest seafood fettuccine Alfredo. She loved it! Full of meat and pasta was fresh. She only wished there was more sauce. Dish became a little dry there were more noodles than sauce. Wildfin that sauce is too good to be stingy with lol! My husband ordered the Garlic Prawns and Scallops. He also gave it a 4 out of 5. He ate every last bite y'all. We top the night off with dessert. My mother is a chocolate lover! And baby this was truly chocolate overload! Honey those layers were rich and dark. Paired with the vanilla bean ice cream sheesh! It was a hit. We were filled to capacity and did not have any room left! Well maybe for one more Cosmo! If you can please make this a stop for a date or just because. This is why we love the PNW seafood and views!

My husband and I came in for happy hour and got the seafood tower. The calamari was cooked and seasoned well and the aioli was delicious. Our waitress was kind and attentive. However, the remainder of the seafood tower appetizer was horrible. The smoked salmon dip was not seasoned and it barely tasted smoked. It tasted like regular salmon and too much mayo with some capers thrown in- we had one bite of it and couldn't eat anymore. As for the garlic prawns, I was incredibly disappointed. As someone who adores prawns and eats them often, I ate one and couldn't eat anymore. They were very undercooked, slimy, and not seasoned. My husband and I found them to be inedible. What a bummer of an experience. I truly doubt we will be back.

My mom and I had the Ahi Salad and calamari for brunch today! Beautiful view and great service! The food was a little pricey and didn't amaze me! WildFin is a good date spot. Plan ahead for parking!! Make sure you know your license plate number so you can verify your parking inside! That applies to street parking I found out.

We had dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Wildfin is always our favorite go to seafood restaurant. They have not disappointed. Kendra was our server and she was awesome. She recommended the special which was a pistachio crusted halibut. We both ended up getting it and it was delicious! Thank you Kendra for the recommendation!I dug right into the dish when we got it so I didn't even take a picture of it. If you like halibut I highly recommend the dish and get while they still have it.
