Great Food! Nothing like coming home to some good cooking (without having to doing the dishes.) Friendly, prompt service (and with a smile.) We will be back for the Fresh Baked Bread making for one delicious Lunch. Judging by the Folks in the tables around us, it looks like a popular meeting place.

Definitely not who they used to be. No smells of fresh bread baking, awaking your senses in the morning. No. Wet concrete and cigarette butts are what we smelled walking to the door this morning. Greeted and seated by a nice-enough worker, we found a table near a window for the views. Our seats had crumbs on them, but we sat down any way. We ordered their $5.00 coffee - mine, a decaf that was extremely sour. Having to ask for refills while they were able to refill every other tables' without question. Our water was the same. No refill unless you ask for some after having to wait to get anyone's attention first. At least it was cold and the glass was clean? If I have to ask for more water or coffee, it's too late. Our meal was fine. I could have baked a crumbly wet quiche at home for much much less. My daughter got waffles that were waffles- nothing to brag about. The $6.95 4 strips of bacon though- I'll brag about $6.95 bacon because they were $6.95. When people go out to eat, it's primarily for the food but also for the experience. If I wanted "okay" food, I should have stayed home. At least my family would have treated each other like we were wanted or welcomed. I typically leave 22% or more tip- depending on the service. Today, I left 15% and that is saying A LOT. If it were up to my husband, he would have left nothing. Definitely not the same owners. How could it be? Nothing is the same except the name. Save your money- cook at home or go to Maggie's. At least they're sweet and attentive.

Came here for my bday and must be under new management, service was poor to say the least compared to previous years. We came for lunch and I ordered smoker salmon Rueben, house salad and an ice tea. $25 for the sandwich. The salmon was dry and unseasoned. You can taste the smoke but no salt and no aioli. The ice tea was over brewed and murky in color. I took the tea homeTo split it and make 4 ice teas out of it. I ate 1/4 of sandwich and took it home to see if I could somehow bring up back to life with flavor. My gf ordered the fish and chips and Cesar salad $25. She got 4 small pieces of fish and lots of fries. No lemon offered with neither the salad or the fish. When we tried to ask for one no one even looked our way. So I walked up to the register and they just asked if I wanted the check...so I took it and left. No one ever asked how are food was etc. We were only there for 30 mins... Sad to say don't know if we'll ever come back

It was our first time here. Place looks a bit old and not the cleanest in my opinion. There were lots of flies going around, some of them being huge (not exaggerating). The staff were very friendly though and accommodating. My wife and I both got an omelette each. And the prices on these are not the cheapest. I believe the crab one was $32 and mine was around $24. The serving size is huge and in my opinion, can feed two people. I'd suggest ordering one and just splitting it. They also had some pretty good freshly baked pastries. We got the chocolate croissant and blueberry danish. Definitely recommend. I would love to give more stars but I think the place needs heavy make over especially at the price point they're selling for.

As a longtime patron of Wild Wheat, I'm deeply disappointed by the changes since the shift in ownership. The once-charming establishment has taken a nosedive in quality and service. Even on a slow day, the service is painfully slow, bordering on nonexistent. What's worse, the prices now seem astronomically high for what can only be described as subpar food and meager portions. It's disheartening to see a beloved breakfast spot fall so far from grace. For those craving a hearty breakfast experience, I strongly recommend walking the extra block to Maggie's. Save yourself the disappointment and skip Wild Wheat until they sort out their issues.

Foods always good here. They're usually super packed but we lucked out today and it was slow. Also bought the current hazelnut bread and got it sliced and some pastries to bring home.It was very relaxing without so many people. Very nice

Saw a video on TIkTok and when in the area it was a must to try out. It's on the corner of downtown Kent. Parking is a challenge. We arrived slightly before 0900 on a Saturday and it was a good thing because it got busy. We were a party or 7. We were seated right away. Order was taken - drinks first and the later food. The waitress seemed to be a manager because she dealt with our group with ease. I was super impressed with their mimosa & its presentation. Definitely worth the $15 price tag. All of us ordered the Eggs Benedict - with the exception of (1) selecting waffles & other selecting biscuits & gravy. Food was great. Service was good until it got busy. Ordered to go "desserts" (cannot go to a bakery & not partake) & an order of biscuits & gravy to go as I couldn't pull a teenager out of bed. Overall if you're in the Kent area, I would highly recommend giving it a shot!

The service has been beyond lackluster. The food quality has also gone down in the past couple months. But they have continue to charge a high price for breakfast. I really wish that they would go back to their old format with the same management.

This is a long standing restaurant in downtown Kent. We haven't been for years so thought we'd meet up and try it. It was a crowded weekend morning. We were able to get a table right away, but we had to wait awhile for drinks and service.I ordered the Wild Wheat Omelette Breakfast. It was good, nothing really stood out, standard omelette. I probably wouldn't come back. I thought our food was pretty expensive for breakfast fare and service was just okay.
