3.5 Stars. Hibachi / Teppanyaki restaurant with some solid sushi too.Pros:-Menu has a ton of variety, love the booklet with all the professional pictures of sushi.-Yummy drinks. Lychee Sake-Tini ($15) was sweet, strong lychee flavor, heavenly.-Sushi was beautiful and delicious. I had the Salmon Tower ($18) and it was filling and wonderful. Cons:-Kind of weird vibes inside - very (almost too) spacious, with giant TVs/ screen projectors on the wall.-Service was spotty, one of our rolls was forgotten. Perhaps the staff is focused on the tables that are doing the hibachi experience. -LOUD - I think there were about 4 instances the drums came out banging with birthday songs lol. I suppose, fun if it's your birthday.Free parking in the Element garages underneath.

I took my wife here for her birthday given that teppanyaki restaurants tend to be quite expensive, so we reserve them for very special occasions. Wild Wasabi is no different - it's very spendy, but here you get more of an experience than most other restaurants. The food is comparable in most regards to Benihana, except the salad dressing isn't as good here, IMHO. But the fried rice, appetizers, and everything else is very comparable. Meaning it's very good. The chef did similar activities at Benihana, including the fiery onion, throwing shrimp into your mouth, things like that. The only challenge is that he was wearing a mask, which I appreciate, but it was very hard to hear him during the cooking 'performance' which was kind of a bummer. Our server, though, was awesome. Very personable, responsive, and friendly. This is one of the few places where Wild Wasabi is clearly ahead of Benihana. The atmosphere is also a bit more hip than Benihana, although they're still updating the decor to further differentiate it from Tokyo Steakhouse, the former restaurant. You also have to put down $25 per person to reserve a table in advance, which is kinda weird but makes sense that they want to ensure they can schedule chefs for each table. They didn't deduct this from the check, so I just need to ensure it's not an additional charge!

Absolutely delightful! We came our first time for Father's day. My son and husband arrived early and i met them at the bar. the rest of the family was an hour out from dinner so we enjoyed time in-front of the sushi bar. from Sashimi to tempura to rolls we enjoyed several items while waiting. The chefs at the sushi bar were friendly and delightful. Then seated for the very entertaining dinner course. our chef was fun, however did not pay close attention to everyone's orders so mixed up the meats and just dolled out the mixed up meats to 3 of our party. A bit frustrating. some of us ordered lobster and filet and the lobster was over cooked. Over all good just some attention to detail would be appreciated so we all get what we order.

We came here on a Friday night. The staff was very friendly, the portion size was good, the fried rice wasn't too buttery like other places, and sushi tower was very well presented and delicious!

I only review places that I love and would recommend to my own friends and family OR places that do us dirty and we refuse to step foot in again. We went today to celebrate our baby's 100 days (although she didn't get to eat) and had an incredible time. The moment you walk through the doors, there is a super instagrammable spot to take pictures at! So cute (photos attached) and the ambiance of the entire restaurant is elevated and chic. A perfect place to dine alone, on a date, or bring a party (we saw all three during our dinner). Don't worry, you can dress to impress OR come as you are. We got the calamari appetizer which was imo the best calamari I've had in years, it was seasoned to perfection and not greasy at all; jalapeños it came with paired well. We also got the avocado nuclear which my 5 year old devoured. The salmon nigiri was also SO FRESH. We're a big fan of salmon, but these slices were huge and no fishy smell at all. Comparable to any high end sushi restaurant in PNW. I would come back just for the sushi and apps. Then of course, the hibachi. The teppanyaki we ordered was a combo (you can choose two from the dinner menu and add on later if you'd like) and trust me it's enough to eat plenty AND take home for a nice midnight snack later. Before you even get your food, you get salad and a soup which was the perfect starter before a big meal. We ordered the lobster and New York strip as well as a the shrimp and scallops. They all come with fried rice and vegetables. One thing I noticed is that teppanyaki can have a tendency to get overcooked and tough to chew, but this was not the case here. The steak and the lobster were incredibly tender, juicy, and BIG- I also got to try my husband's shrimp and scallops- they were perfectly cooked and paired well with the two sauces they gave us. The rice was a little bland- but adding a bit of salt made it perfect for me (I also tend to enjoy my food salty so take that as you will). We finished the night with dessert: chocolate mochi ice cream and the chocolate sea salt mousse cake. Honestly the mochi ice cream was just standard- but my 5 year old devoured it. And the mousse cake was delicious. Chocolate lovers would enjoy- is it white chocolate powder on the side of the plate? Whatever it was it added such a nice texture crunch to the dessert!I'd like to shout out to the staff for being incredibly kind, refilling our drinks often, checking in on us, and being so helpful as we came with both a young child and an infant. It was also the height of rush hour, but not once did they make us feel like we needed to hurry. All in all, I recommend this to my friends and family, if you're looking to eat some quality seafood and hibachi, this is the spot. I'm still drooling over the lobster and steak combo.I attached pictures for additional dessert and the food we had (minus the actual main entree as we were busy eating)! Ask your man to take you here, or treat yourself ;) 10/10. PS. Will return with my baby when she gets teeth so she can finally try it herself.
