Yoder Meats

Couldn't pass up a visit to Yoder Meats! Got a little time to browse around. Since I'm a pickle fan I had to pick up a couple of jars of pickles. Also a lover of popcorn so of course I had to pick up a bag of kernels.

Great selection. Great prices. Great flavor. Stopped in here on my trip through Wichita and I could've easily gained 2000 lbs on this stop. The worst part of the experience is trying to make a decision since everything looks good. The bakery and deli have great options to bring back home or for a quick snack, while the dine in offers delightful plated meals. Terrific comfort food.

Most everything has already been said about Yoder Meats. I try and stop each time coming through. Lots and lots of homemade ready to eat goodness. Great selection of meats as well. Other small snack type items to pick up for your road trip. Clean, spacious store that leaves you plenty of room to spend some time trying to narrow down your selections. Or actually just splurge and pick all the potential selections that you think you MAY want. You won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite parts of going back to Hutchinson is stopping by Yoder, KS to enjoy all the home made goodness from their stores and restaurants. Yoder Meats is more than just a meat counter they are a small grocery of local items (do NOT leave without taking home a pie!) and also includes crafts and home goods. I took my husband and daughter for the first time and we left with jerky, pie, and some candles. Will definitely be back to visit next time Im in town.

I recently went by the Yoder Meats located in Wichita, KS and told my Husband that I would like to see the larger store in Yoder. We decided to take that 40 minute drive and pick up some of their meats this weekend.At first, I wasn't seeing anything that screaming my name -- but upon my 2nd trip around their store I noticed a variety of 'Free Samples'. So I tried their Salsa and it was pretty good. We can it at home so I didn't purchase any. They had 3 different types of Sausages on a Griddle to try. They looked intriguing, but I had just eaten! What grabbed my attention was their 'Amish Wedding' line of products. They had afew items by the Cash Register to sample. I tried one of their Sweet Gherkins. I was walking away to catch up with Hubby when the heat started to kick in!! Yum! I ran back and grabbed a jar!!We went into their Retail area and looked at their goods. Lamps, Pictures, Quilts, etc. They had some Pancake Syrups and Popcorn Oils and Toppings on that side of the store.Hubby suggested a Ham Steak for dinner -- so we returned to the Meat Cases. I ended up picking up a pkg of Baby Back Ribs for next weekend and a small pkg of Canadian Bacon.Hubby was looking through their Smoked Cheeses and selected a Smoked Cheddar and Bacon. I wished after we left that I had chosen the Smoked Horseradish Cheese, but I am on a diet that includes no Dairy or Gluten. Speaking of which, they have a very small Gluten Free section.They did have some intriguing jars of Preserves and Pie Fillings, but we didn't pick any of those up on this trip. They have a Deli Case and some freshly made Pies and Cinnamon Rolls. Very nice place!!

Wow, what a fun store!!They have tons of items! Meats, cheeses, baked items, bulk items, localley made items. Yoder used to have a bakery for their cinnamon rolls and now YODER MEATS makes them. They were so kind...I love the cinnamon rolls and love tons of icing. When I asked if I could get extra icing they obliged!!, talk about customer service!I'm thinking they must also make the pies for CARRIAGE CROSSING restaurant because the piece of pecan pie I bought had a label on it that said "Carriage Crossing". Anywho the pie, whoopie/lemonade cookies and cinnamon rolls were excellent!! I also bought milled flour, old fashioned candy and german sausage. They also have quite a selection of spices and bulk candy. Oh, and did I mention they give a 10% discount to military! Definately worth the stop!!

How I wish I didn't live so far and could take more home than I am! The cheese is amazing, and I've had cheese from all over the world! Canned, jarred food, any kind of mustard you can imagine, homemade and hand jarred! Parking is perfect, cashiers and butchers very helpful. If I lived near here I wouldn't buy my meat from anywhere else.Don't drive by this place without stopping in. You will find something to carry out!

Hear's the problem. when I go into a speciality store, such as YoderMeats, I expect the employees to know something about the products tbey are selling.I puchased beirock, sausage and some beef sticks from the ffont counter. I do not know if they are produced locally or brought in and re-packaged as "Yoder products" to enhance their allure. I hope they"re local as I do not want to buy stuff I can get anywhere. Teach the staff to know the products tbey sell.

Not impressed withe last batch of Jalapeño cheese brats I purchased early October 2023. In the past I would have given 5/5. Quality or ingredients now lacking. My last batch, 5 packages, hardly any Jalapeño or cheese, pretty tame for what I have grown used to.
