TRIPPING AWESOME! Wasn't showering for the longest period of time and had to make my way into Y M C A!! The Front Desk Representative was awfully nice and thumbs up professional. Great Facility to get your game on. INDOOR POOL! Lockers for your Belongings. I usually exercise at work, but I might hit this place up for some exercise to drain my Fat and Gain Muscle.

What are you paying for if the personel refuse to help you! Kathy Nelson the Sports Director is not helpful what so ever. I'm working with this young girl on her over hand serve, we've been working on a wall for the last week because the net was a child's height not a womens. So I asked a lady to help and she directed me to Miss Nelson, who's response to my request to heighten the net was, "It's set at 7ft and I'm not changing it today." Can customer service get any worse? She's sitting in the chair in her office and refuses to take 5 minutes to change the height. What do paying members have to do to get a simple task done? Why pay to go to a facility where your needs won't be met?

Pleasantly Surprised! It took three different gps s to find the 70's looking place but once i was inside i was blown away by everything they had to offer here! There is a nice sized deep olympic style swimming pool, nice steam room, whirl pool, crossfit equipment, ALL THE MACHINES AND WEIGHTS ARE BRAND NEW! they also had a truestrech machine that was really handy!Overall i was delighted with what i found, but also note it is best to go before 3pm when the schools get out and people from work start to trickle in because it does get a little busy

The Salina YMCA is a great place to join for your children youth sports. They provide an opportunity for every player to participate, develop skills, build healthy lifestyles through teamwork, have a fun and educational experience, and also build healthy relationships with coaches and fellow players.

The YMCA is a very well known gym and there is a reason for that. The gym is well taken care of and very safe for everyone. It is available to everyone from children to elderly. The gym isn't like every other gym, it doesn't smell like a football locker room and it isn't over powering with disinfecting spray. The equipment is very clean and works great, there are plenty of machines and weights for everyone in the gym. At times the gym can be packed with people which makes it hard for you to get your workout done if you are trying to get in and get out. But the YMCA offers daycare services for children, gymnastics, and classes for everyone to get a chance to workout with instructors. They also have three basketball courts so many games can be played or so if you wish to get some sprints in. They also have a swimming pool and hot tub for recovery. They offer mens and womens locker rooms that have lockers, sanu, showers, and toilets and all these things are kept very clean.

have been a member of YMCA as far back as 2008 in California. Since then, I have been a recipient of their excellent customer service. This is why when I moved here in Kansas --where my husband is from, we registered as a family. It was indeed an awesome summer for all of us until we cancelled our membership. On the day that we cancelled, we were (verbally) informed that we will no longer have to pay our next month's dues and even refunded a credit arising from what they mistakenly over charged me for my daughter's swimming lesson. We were under the impression that we no longer owe them so we were surprised to see a debit to our account for a monthly membership dues. We then gave them a call and ask them about it. For an entity who operates as a charitable not-for-profit organization, they sure know how to bully you in getting their way to get your money by undermining your understanding about their membership policies and guidelines then tell you that it is your fault you did not make yourself aware that if you did not cancel on the 1st of the month, ensuing charges is forthcoming. When I told them that I will file a dispute to my bank to recover my funds, they threatened me with a collection agency to handle my account that will consequently ruin my credit worthiness if I did not agree to their charges. It did not matter when I told them about the verbal understanding I had when we cancelled our membership with one of their employees. The close-minded setting of not letting you say your piece and insist upon your lack of knowledge about their policies is quiet demoralizing. The threat of having your name forwarded to a collection agency and ruin your credit worthiness if you do not give in to their charges is quiet shocking. A person should not have been treated that way just because she did not agree to their charges. I would only hope that their approach to their ex-members will morph into a respectful, tactful and non-demeaning way. Their deliverance is way too prevaricating --one employee says one thing while the next is otherwise. My last sentence before I said goodbye with the CEO of the YMCA - Salina KS, "please go ahead then, keep my money... it was my fault I believed your employee that I will no longer be charged and that I did not read your guidelines that says otherwise and I would definitely do not wish to have my name forwarded to a collection agency... I can only hope that this will be the last time I will see YMCA on my bank account...." Just like that, my more than a decade relationship with YMCA is OVER !! My children will be disappointed about not getting into CampWood next summer... The exceedingly disappointing matter here is the unethical approach they handled my grievance. YMCA (based from my previous experience) is all about first-rate CUSTOMER SERVICE. This has proven to be UNTRUE here in Salina, KS.. Thank you...
