Wolfe's Flower & Gift Shop

I would give this florist 0 stars if I could. We used this florist to purchase a spray of flowers for my Mom's coffin in September 2018. My Dad allotted $500 for the spray. When we got to the cemetery the spray was very small. It was more in the $100-$150 range. I repeatedly asked her to make certain she included green flowers in the spray as that was my Mom's favorite color. She argued with me about this point several times when I was ordering. The spray ended up having NO green flowers as requested. My husband tried to reach out to her to discuss our dissatisfaction several times after we returned home. She would not return his calls. I feel she took advantage of us during our time of grief. I would suggest you find another florist if you are thinking about using Wolfe's!!!

Called to have flowers delivered to my mom who has a La Crosse address, but resides outside city limits by a mere four miles. This florist does not go any further than those boundaries and will not deliver to my mom's house.She did tell me she had just returned from a LONG trip to Rush Center, which is more than four miles south outside of La Crosse. I'm calling hogwash! If she wanted the business, she would deliver four miles north as well as to Rush Center!My mom just had surgery so I wanted to surprise her with flowers. The florist recommended that if I wanted to purchase flowers with her shop, my recovering mom would have to drive herself to town (four miles, mind you) to pick up her own flowers. This was very much a bummer as I wanted to surprise my mom with something nice since I live so far away. If you don't live in this dinky town, don't bother buying flowers here.

I first discovered Wolfe's Flower and Gift Shop back in the 1990s, when we were visiting our great aunt over Memorial/Decoration Day every year. My very first purchase was a beautiful deep blue Fenton art glass cat - their gift selection has always been very good in addition to the floral part of the shop. After our aunt passed, we've continued to call Pauline every year to have a beautiful array placed on our aunt's grave that weekend. She is always so friendly and has been a good friend to call on every May. Wolfe's prices are good and their arrangements are beautiful. I can highly recommend this business!

I have had two bad experiences with the business. First was when my mother passed away and my friends requested, and paid a pretty penny, to have a floral arrangement sent to her funeral. When I sent them a photo of what was delivered....they were appalled! Now here we are again...the mother of the SHERIFF, of Rush County passed away and when my bother called earlier today to have flowers delivered to her funeral tomorrow......he was told they had made a delivery to the funeral home today and would not be making another prior to the funeral...REALLY???? The funeral home is about 8 blocks from their shop!!! All I can say is...lady you need to retire as you are in the business for the wrong reason. This shop's reaction did not surprise me in the least and I advised my brother that I am very very happy we are not supporting her business. My advise to anyone who is intending to use Wolf's Florist in LaCrosse, KS...DON'T!!! Opt to send the money to a memorial of the survival's choice as it will be much more appreciated. And you can bet we will let the Sheriff know how his mother ranks at the local florist shop in LaCrosse, KS!!! #uneedtoretirelady!@
