Alex Febres restored my faith in WFCU! He treats his customers like family. His transparency and immense support cannot be appreciated enough. He would call the vendor/seller and fight for his members. He sets a great example for what a credit union means for all types of customers regardless of their income, financial status, even social status, or most importantly their creditworthiness. I've been doing business with WFCU for the past 7 years and I have had my fair share of ups and downs with them. I met Alex a couple of years ago, and it was very hard for me to turn away from this place since he always proved that this credit union is always on my side and not trying to rip me off. If you have any financial needs and are new to WFCU, call them and ask for Alex. You will be in great hands!

I've lived in Texas the last 7 years and my experience with WFCU today is why I'll never close my membership! Alex and Christi are FRIGGIN ROCKSTARS!!!! I racked up a bit of credit card debt during covid and wanted to also buy out my car lease. They not only got me a better rate on my car loan, but they were able to help me pay off all my credit cards via a consolidation loan. Alex was phenomenal at answering any questions I had and was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. Christi went above and beyond to ensure the consolidations would help my credit go up. One step closer to eventual home ownership!!!! Thank you both!!!

Restricts international currency exchange. I've been talking to the manager, Valarie and the director, Chris; asking them to open my account to what it has been for the last 13 years. OR mail me a check and close my account, as I have a spinal injury and can't go to the bank. They refuse and spend their time wasting mine. I asked to communicate via email for a hearing disability, they refused to do that until I threatened to turn them into the state for discrimination against the disabled. NOW They will only send an email once every few days. The emails are pointless and do not offer any assistance. Valarie circular reasons. Not sure if she doesn't understand what she's doing, or if they're playing a ridiculous game. I'm being told "you can use your bank account anywhere, just not your debit card. And when we restrict you, we aren't going to help you, just keep trying the same thing over and over." Two staff members have been reprimanded for treating me poorly, after I've been completely respectful and patient on this matter; those calls are recorded. Happy to reproduce the emails and recorded calls so no one, disabled or not, can have adequate banking. My account number at WFCU is one of the very first. So, that tells you how new management conducts itself and how their business model has changed, dramatically. Sadly; Seems like others on here have had the same problem with them. BEWARE they don't allow you to control your money anymore and actively won't allow international currency exchange! Small towned ignorance at its best. #pissed

After over 40 years as a member this place took it upon themselves to turn off my debit card last night while I'm out of town. Imagine my surprise at 5am when I went to put gas in my rental car and my card was declined. So instead of $13 for gas I had the joy of paying $63 at the rental center. So now in the Chicago airport I try to get a sandwich--- nope! I called in and they have the nerve to ask me where I will be and for how long ---- none of your damn business. How dare you deny me access to my own money.We shall see how badly you wish to keep me as a member

I would like to say I was in the bank on March 3. 2025 The Teller Jesse Jameswas so helpful he printed my receipt that had my credit card in bank amounts on the receipt I was glad to see this. he went out of his way to help me.you have a nice and friendly employee I give him a 5 I was very impressedhe made my day. as well as Leticia Hernandez-Rodriguez that showed me how to get me on the WFCU and how to download it on my phone showed me step by step I thank her for her patient. Donovan is quite short and disrespectful. I've dealt with him twice now and have had nothing but a bad experience. my loan is not visible to me to make a payment and his attitude is not that of a customer service professional. I will reconsider my business with this specific establishment once my loan obligations are satisfied.

Three years ago I broke my left ankle in five locations and had metal rods in three spots. Six months later it was a bone graft for a location that had not heal. I was off work and requested the income from my credit disability insurance to help and the bank totally dropped the ball. I was able to find a part time job but suffered the loss of income around $4,000 a month. I had applied for Disability which started in 09/16 but it is not enough. I asked the Collection Manager to please take the vehicle and sale it and I would pay off the balance which was 04/16. He refused. One year later he wants to repossess everything and freeze the account with the Disability income & part time pay check then he tells me I did nothing . After I called them weekly for years, asking for them to deal with the credit disability to make the payments. Now I will change.
