They made several culturally ignorant comments over some damages in the instrument. Saying that I don't know U.S. culture and then told me how my grammar is terrible and made first statement assumptions how I was not born here and that I am a foreigner. There wasn't even a statement of "hey, did you notice the Crack? Here are the images". It was more of implied as "people like you don't know our culture. You need to understand that this nation doesn't like liars." Well excuse me, our nation doesn't like liars. It wasn't hard to explain what I've missed. I've stated that I was told silver but you just insinuated and started insulting with cultural ignorance and assumptions for no reason. I left a comment in their Facebook page about how culturally ignorant they were and then they reported my post saying that it was offensive. I have screenshots from ebay about how one of their client was making ignorant statements. I did say that people should avoid this because the store workers here are not only egotistical, but rude, culturally ignorant, racist, and also they are extremely arrogant and unprofessional. Now the Facebook page poster of this music store is trying to insinuate that they are not racist because they have a girlfriend from Thailand and that they love Asian foods, but I do not see how that is convincing anyone to respecting the culture. Foods and one person doesn't represent the culture. Saying "you seem like you don't know American culture." is not the best way to do be professional whether you held up business for 50-75 years, even if someone doesn't know the plate or even damage from the instrument. You don't deserve even 1 star for this business.

Came in with a trumpet that was over 40 years old and in need of some serious help. It was from my dad, I hadn't known he had one until later, and I decided I wanted it. However, I couldn't pull out the valve slide or the spit slide. Also. The keys acted like little slow pistons, so I'd push it down, and it'd never return to its original position. It would just stay down. So I'd then carefully try to pull it back up by poking under it and attempting to move it at the right spot.Left my trumpet there for a day. Got it back, nothing was stuck anymore. Completely transformed. Also, took my junky flute here on several occasions. Absolutely no complaints. They took very good care of my instruments.

I just went in to learn about trumpets for my son in order to upgrade to a silver. And Steve Slater just spent 30 min teaching us about differences, letting us play multiple models and even getting a history lesson about the instrument manufactures. Totally recommend to anyone looking for expertise on ANY instrument, as they have different departments with experts for differing instruments. Very impressed with the people here and the selection is top notch. Thanks!

I found an instrument on ebay, contacted the seller, Wichita Band Instrument Co., for questions, and they responded right away, were very friendly, and my recorder arrived in perfect condition! Very pleasant to deal with and appears they sell high quality instruments. I would highly recommend them!

I bought a couple of big used instruments from them and was very pleased with the entire experience. Excellent communication, patience with a few of our issues during the transaction, instruments were as described, plus they were packed with AMAZING care. Shipped all the way to California with no trouble.

To answer Jon who says " If I'm not mistaken didn't you pick it up at the store? Sorry you ARE mistaken. You obviously have no idea how rude your father was in so many ways. I NEVER set foot in the store and never will. You guys sent the Bass Sax to California and like I said before it made zero sense to even think about shipping it across the country for some repair to the octave key. So I stand behind my first review and your mistaken assumption that I bought it in Kansas shows me that you didn't even bother to look up the paperwork to check. Like I said don't bother to read their replies as they are all lies. I can stand behind what I say. You can not.

What is written below this review is an inaccurate account. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a French horn merchant. I flew to the shop from New Jersey for the express purpose of trying some horn models they had in stock. The owner kicked me out of the shop for trying to discuss their restocking fee policies after I had offered to buy an instrument they had for sale via PayPal. He yelled at me in front of other customers and his staff, saying "I don't like you, leave!" As a successful professional hornist and professor for 23 years, I would never recommend doing business here. I arrived at 2pm and left at 4pm, not as written below. I never demanded anything. I tried to negotiate a lower restocking fee and ASKED if there was a professional discount, and was met with unhinged anger and a raised voice by the owner. He was scaring the customers, not me.

Went to guitar center for a tuning knob fix and was quoted over 100 dollars, so I came here and the dude fixed it in less than a minute at no charge. Amazing service, even more amazing people. PLEASE take your business here! They deserve it!

Buy a THOUSAND dollar instrument and get a 5 day grace period. Purchase a part for an instrument and get a 0 day grace period.Bought a Trombone mouthpiece today (Sept 8, 2011) at 1:30 pm. Called my sweet wife who told me to return it because it was too expensive. Came back just after 2:30 and talked to the Sales Manager Richard H. Bentson who pointed to my receipt. "NO CASH REFUNDS."This was NOT pointed out to me BEFORE he sale. However, I SHOULD have asked. So I take responsibility for that. The best he would do is offer a store credit. He suggested I come back to talk to the original salesman in 30 min.I came back but the original salesman would not budge either. Even though their website says:"If you buy something, you'll discover our prices to be the lowest, our selection superb and our service-after-the-sale to be the best in America."Unless you buy a trombone mouth piece.Again from their website:"Anything we sell can be sent to you for a short approval period (5 days) without any obligation." Just not trombone mouthpieces. They did give me the credit. I went there based on the advice of a friend. I cannot believe they would be so stubborn. Definitely will not go there again except to get my money back.

This is the best store and repair shop, by far, in the US. I live in California and fly here for purchases and annual maintenance for my horns. They had in stock new Alexanders, a Paxman, and Schmids! They also provided an instrument currently in use by a member of the local symphony to try in comparison to the new ones.Michael is a genius at horn repair and maintenance. (Imagine disassembling a $16,000+ triple horn and reassembling it, much less improving its performance!!)I just bought another horn from them today for my son. I trust them implicitly and highly recommend them. The business is family-owned and really does an honest job in sales and service.
