Let me start off with the burger I got bacon n omg so flavorful n delicious fries were also good great ambience n people n cheap prices 10 bucks for combo let's go will definitely stop by later to grab a beer .

If you're ever in WaKeeney, or driving by on I-70, it's definitely worth your time to stop in. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Craft beers from Hays Brewery - Defiance and a full bar. If you're there around Christmas, you'll be able to see the Christmas City of the High Plains all lit up.

Nothing special. A bunch of comments about the friendly staff... didn't experience that. No fresh food on the menu... everything was from the freezer. The building probably has alot of history, but staff didn't seem willing to share... or they didn't know. Next time, I'll keep driving.

We had the KC strip (the perfectly cooked steak Med/rare juicy- yum! & shrimp dinners + coconut cream pie- excellent! Wonderful staff, great atmosphere!

Delicious hamburgers and great atmosphere. Servers very friendly and accommodating- hard workers! Love the Dorothy Lynch dressing in lieu of regular French. Very spacious seating and dining hall. So glad we stumbled on this gem in rural Kansas! And yes - we bought t-shirts!

I ended up here by accident, but it was a happy accident. The food was great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed, attractive and exactly what you would expect for Wakeeney. What sets the Western Kansas Saloon & Grill apart was the waitress. She just could not have been any nicer. Is this what everyone in Wakeeney is like? Hard to tell, but please don't change a thing.

I tried to call a pick up order, but someone at their restaurant has left their phone off the hook.....I could accept that someone made a silly mistake IF this was the first time that this happened, but this is like the 3rd time that they have done this in the last 6 or 7 months! Piss poor customer service!!

My husband and I stopped by on our way to Denver. we did a quick drive around the town and came back and found Western Kansas saloon and grill. We went in and were immediately greeted and given drinks My husband ordered the ribeye and I had the pasta. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of marbling. We were recently at a restaurant in Oklahoma that is owned by a known chef and the steak we had at Western Kansas saloon and grill was 100% better. Not only was the food delicious the wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The waitress recommended us to stay at the prairie Rose Airbnb. The only thing that bothered us while we were there is there were two large tables there one table of adults and another table of children under the age of 10 and the children were running throughout the restaurant.

We were there this summer traveling to Colorado. All the locals go there the food is great and the service is to.

Great little stop if you're looking for a pleasant lunch/dinner along 70. Really good prices for what we got. I got the 3 chicken tenders thinking they would be pretty small, but between my side and tenders it was a very good size meal for 7.50. The fries were superrrr good too
