My dogs were at a place for boarding while I was out of town for a week. One of my dogs was rapidly declining, and the boarding place moved my dogs (with my permission) to this place. They monitored my dogs the whole time. There is someone there the whole time. My older dog lost a tooth while he was there, and when we picked him up, they gave us the tooth in a ziplock bag. My dog went down hill rapidly when we got home from our trip. So a week later, I took him back to this place. And sadly, it was time to put him to sleep. But I got that extra week with him in between boarding and putting him down. I have since gone back with my other dog. And they are taking great care of my dog. They diagnosed allergies with him and gave me a 2 treatment plans to choose from. They also cleared up pink eye for him. And have given him his shots. I especially love that the place is clean, the people are friendly, and it seems organized and not overly busy. So many vets these days are so busy. They have 10 dogs or animals waiting to be seen, and 1 vet who goes from one to the next. This place seems more like 1-2 dogs in the lobby, and vets to see them. I am so glad to finally have found a vet I like in the Wichita area. I think this is the 5th one I've visited in the year that I have lived in south-central Kansas. Finally found a vet I love!

We bleats our elderly dog Foxy here all the time. They are so helpful and friendly. I chose this place to board because I had to leave ASAP and no one wanted to take foxy in because she wasn't utd on her bordatella .. they said bring her in now er will take care of it! When my rabbit died, who wasn't a patient there, the office sent my a condolences card. I know a vet office is a business, but the staff really makes you feel welcomed !

Dr Helten has retired. My experience with the new veterinarian started good, but he eventually deviated from my cat's established treatment plan and it ended up costing me a lot of money because I had to keep coming back for more medicine and check ups and my cats health deteriorated. I ended up in the emergency room because my cat was a wheezing really bad and couldn't breathe and they put her back on her old treatment plan it's already made a difference in only 24-hours. The emergency visit cost me $400 and my cat had to suffer for two months all because he wouldn't listen to my previous experiences with my cats condition and follow in the footsteps of the veterinarian who he purchased the clinic from. Disappointing.

I switched vets because my daughter began working for the Albertsons. One year ago Dr. Jason performed a check up on our Shiba Inu and found a heart murmur. But wasnt concerned about the murmur and didn't want to check it any further. When I took our dog to a new vet, Sisters Veterinary Clinic, they were concerned with the murmur and gave us the option of checking it out more thoroughly, but they weren't pushy at all. They performed an xray and found she had an enlarged heart, a collapsing trachea because of her enlarged heart along with some other conditions. We are now taking our fur baby to K-State to see what, if anything, can be done! Dr. Jason should have given us options, and he didn't! Additionally Sister's Veterinary Clinic is much more reasonably priced and the friendliest you will find! The employee turnover rate at Wellspring/Helten is astronomical!

We followed Dr. Albertson from his previous practice because of his knowledgeable, caring manner with our dogs & cats. He sheparded our older animals though the chronic conditions of old age, and partners with us in the care of our current younger animals. We are very happy with the care our dog & cat receive, and highly recommend Wellspring.

I and my wife rescued a puppy, in the same day took him to this clinic as they were the only ones willing to "squeeze" us in. Which should have been a red flag from the start because I knew that it would be a fast visit and just wanted money but because I was worried about the puppy I went. just like I figured it was a fast visit. Did not examine the puppy. Felt his belly said he was constipated and then went on talking. Talking about the food they sell out of their very clinic said he needed an enema and to bring him back in a week after he has gained weight then we can do shots. Well not to much to my surprise we get home and he has nothing but blood in his stool barley walking wont drink. So I call back to thee clinic and they said they would charge us to do the test exam well the question I asked is why did you not do the proper exam when I brought him didn't check for dehydration skin gums stool nothing just felt his belly said I will see you next week. so I ask what did I already pay 93.00 dollars for he said for examining th puppy and talking about the food. lol I am furious to learn after taking him in to make sure he is ok and getting proper care only to find out he has parvo and probably wont make it. I would not recommend this clinic to a single person due to the fact it seems to be impersonal, rushed, and worried about selling dog food and throwing the word exam around just to make money. wish I could give it a zero.
