Wellers Grill & Bar

Went for lunch. Service was outstanding. There were more people than I expected for this visit out of the way, rarely talked about location. That alone tells you something. The food was delicious. I had a buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries. Good portion of food for lunch. I will be back!

Ribs are very good bit must come early. Other meals very good too. Beer and Pepsi products.

I had a brisket meat cheese burger on grilled ciabatta bread with a side of sweet potatoes fries - fabulous! Hubby had the Philly cheese steak sandwich (made with prime rib meat) with onion rings on the side. Also very yummy. We will return soon. Our waitress Megan was outstanding!

Was craving some fried pickles one day and wanted to try somewhere new so we went to Wellers, the fried pickles and jalapeños were FANTASTIC! We got some burgers also and they were amazing, I'm pretty sure they have cut they're potato wedges because they are the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Food came out very fast and the waiters were all nice!

Not great. Waited way too long for my food. My taco salad was decent, but, my mother's order was wrong and her fries were cold. If i'm waiting longer than 30 minutes for my food, I better be blown away. Needless to say, I wasn't...

Wife and I went for the Friday prime rib to celebrate an anniversary. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but the food failed to provide any 'wow' factor. Still looking for a great prime rib in Topeka, we heard the one at Weller's was above average. It was cooked properly, hers medium-rare and mine medium. It was the flavor that was lacking. Au jus and horseradish sauce were both necessary to supplement what was lacking in the cut of meat. Good, but not great.

Staff is amazing and efficient! MUST try the cheese pillows! Just ask for them, they'll know what you mean.

First time, trying this bar and Grill, as it is relatively close to our home and have heard decent things about it. Went on a Friday night. It was prime rib night so fairly busy. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait and that was accurate. We had very friendly service. Our server was very attentive and quick. We ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich on ciabatta bread with a side of fries and 12 ounce ribeye with a baked potato and side of green beans. That chicken fried steak on the sandwich was housemade. The sweet potato fries were abundant and tasted like they had a little bit of cinnamon added. My spouses steak was cooked perfectly as was her baked potato. She said her steak was very tender. They even added a dab of compound butter to the top. Not sure about other nights, but being it was a Friday night, it was quite noisy in there. It was hard to hear each other talk. They really should get another door into the kitchen because every time a server goes in the yell loudly "door!" and that is kind of disturbing to our conversation. We will be back and try some other things.

We have recently started putting Weller's in our regular restaurant rotation and have always had great food. They have the best wings in town and the service is always great. I would recommend giving them try if you haven't.

Started off bad there was a group of intoxicated regulars at a table creating a pinch point in between it in the bar, The waitress from the other side of the room waved us to squeeze on through as the intoxicated patrons looked at us like we were inconveniencing them trying to get through! Then the waitress spilled ice water on me and my girlfriend! I got my salad the lettuce was brown around the edges, and a 2 foot hair was in my salad! At that point I called the manager over and told her I've had enough I'll pay for our drinks we're leaving!! If this place can't have basic kitchen sanitation and fresh lettuce, I don't need to eat there!! The manager comped our drinks and followed us out to our car offering us a gift card! I'm not sure if I will use it! The large group of intoxicated regulars should've been moved away from the first table that created an uneasy funnel we had to negotiate through! None of the bartenders or waitresses were wearing masks!! This place has really gone down hill!!
