Want Bierock Company & Coffee House

Met them at the Farmers Market this morning. Husband always grabbed these bierocks for me because he knows I love them. However I won't be coming back because of this man's character.. As we were paying him, he grabbed an extra $5 out of my husbands hand.. He knew what he did and when we stated he needed to give it back, he said loudly, "What are you? A banker now?" We are very quiet people and we're mortified.. walked away in defeat.. he's not a good person..

I should have checked the Want Bierock Company's Yelp page prior to visiting on our last trip to Wichita.I'd been craving good Volga German bierocks for some time. (I used to live in Wichita back in the Eighties, and learned to love bierocks during that time.)Well, shiver me timbers and call me Petunia, honey, but I sure as git-out didn't go into Want Bierock Company to be pummeled with loud "Christian" music and a plethora of self righteous placards urging my conversion.To quote fellow Yelper Mindless M.'s review, "Well, the new owners change it for the worst it's now a Christian coffee shop ('cause we don't have enough of that in Kansas...) and they made it really bad where it feels like they're shoving Christianity in your face they changed the decorations to Christian stuff and constantly play Christian music no one wants to be there even if they liked the coffee because everyone who comes in there feels so much tension from staff"The front door had a sign encouraging us to take off our masks (!!!) even as COVID-19 numbers surged in Sedgwick County, and the reading materials placed out among the pieces of used furniture inside the restaurant (no joke!) were all far right wing conspiracy rags.Here's the whole megillah: I don't want to eat in Muslim restaurants that has Islamic prayers and chanting during my meal. (And yes, I've encountered that once, as well. How hard is it for some folks to leave personal religious crap out of business?) I also don't eat out to see and hear THIS kind of tommyrot.I go out to eat to enjoy my friends and their company, after all.I do NOT go out to eat to be proselytized, nor to be a captive audience for sectarian music, no matter its origin.Five stars for the bierocks we got. (They were hot and filling and tasty. Yum.)One star for the rest of the experience -- self righteous and ham-fisted proselytization efforts all included.Two Yelp stars across the board -- mostly for the sake of the bierocks.Please do better.

Decided to check out a new coffee place. Staff was friendly, except for those sitting at the bar in their apron on their phones.The coffee wasn't anything to write home about. I got an iced latte and it was more milk than anything. The sausage kolache was just a hot dog.When you walk in, you're overwhelmed with signage of "our lord and savior" and Christian rock. If that's your thing, then this is the place for you.Otherwise, don't come for the coffee.*sign said "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone*

Been here several times now. My punch card is almost full! Their coffee is wonderful. The owners are good, Christian people. The have a huge menu and many flavor options.

My little sister was searching for spots to study and we stumbled upon this little sweet spot. This refurbished McDonald's is designed with inspirational quotes on the wall and two sides packed full of comfortable seats!I ordered the Caramel Macchiato and my sister ordered the Pomegranate Black Tea (free refills when you're in store). I thought that the Caramel Macchiato was too milky, compared to the proportion of coffee. Also, they did not sweeten the tea.Although the drinks weren't my favorite, the service was phenomenal!! The owner lady walked around and conversed with the clients there. I thought it was super sweet and it definitely made the visit better.

Delicious bierrocks! I ordered the family four pack and it comes with cinnamon rolls! Yumm! Recommend!

If I could give zero stars I would, not for the food or coffee because I didn't partake. I left after ordering at the drive thru because no one behind the counter was wearing a mask or face covering on February 19, 2021. Sedgwick County has a mask mandate in place which I will link if allowed. When I brought this up to the woman at the drive thru window she shut the window on me. I will not be returning. Delicious food and coffee. Wonderful staff and welcoming environment. Would definitely go back and I live on the other side of town.

Absolutely LOVE their Bierocks! They also have very lovely coffee and all for a very reasonable price! The workers are absolutely delightful and super kind! The atmosphere is super cozy as well! I highly recommend it!

I've seen reviews about it being too Christian.... Well my husband and I discovered this place a little over a year ago and today is really the first time I had any "Christian" encounter. Religion has never been forced on me or my husband. The staff here has always been nice, witty, polite & positive. They're respectful and never hesitate to help us figure out what we want. The environment is calm and peaceful every time we go. The cost of things are very reasonable. Overall I really enjoy this place.And as for my "Christian" encounter today.... Thank you. I am in no means a religious person. But today in the drive thru, the person handing me my drink asked if she could pray for me and while normally I would shy away from that, today I said yes and her prayer was beautiful and wholesome. She actually brought tears to my eyes. I really needed that today of all days. So thank you. And no, she didn't push a prayer on me, she was just nice.
