If you didn't know this brewery was here, you'd drive right by it and miss out on a nice experience. The Walnut River Brewing Company is probably most well known for its Irish Red Warbeard. It's a reddish-dark copper colored with a slight toffee caramel flavor. Their Warbeard is listed in the top 50 Irish Red Ales on RateBeer.com, and is a leader in distribution around the tri-state area. A co worker of mine had many Warbeards before, and insisted I make the 4 hour trek with him. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately I was so distracted with drinking my beer, I neglected to take a pic of it. Maybe next time around. Great place to stop. Don't forget to pick up a Warbeard shirt!

Pretty cool little brewery in historic downtown El Dorado, Kansas.A variety of tasty beers on tap, in cans or glass growlers or "squealers" (miniature growlers). "Warbeard" and "Maniacal Monk" wereTwo very good ones I tried.In normal times, they serve food, too. However, because of COVID 19, no food during my visit.One thing I think is cool; on the back of their "squealers" they have the history of the building the Brewery and tasting room now occupy. A pretty colorful history to the building, to be sure.
