Vista Drive In

So glad I continued to look and found the Vista Drive In. I travel a lot for work and prefer local fare over the national chains... Although the nationals are largely consistent and predictable, I enjoy the adventure and such. .. ON to it now. My first attempt was another local spot that was closer to my hotel.. That didnt' go well at all and I thought the evening would be another Manhattan strike-out.. Giveing Yelp one more try.. The Viista Drive In got my attention.. The place was pretty busy as there had been a pair of Basketball games at the college in town. The speed of the line for ordering was quick, the staff were jumping and through it all, friendly, hospitable and proficient... (This is a take away that I didn't get at my first strikout this evening.. sheesh.). I am not alergic to anything but I choose not to eat certain food items... This presents an interresting time at some establishments for several reasons.. NOT the case at the Vista.I asked the nice lady at the counter for my meal and she didn't bat an eye or give me any grief at all... What a great suprise. My order was prepared quickly, tasted fantastic and was totally pleasing. I particularly enjoy the smash style burgers with the crust on the patties. Brown Food Tastes good! For all of the previously stated reasons in as short a fashion as I choose to use, I will return to the Vista again and again so long as the place doesn't change a thing! As a matter of fact, I have eaten there twice this trip and will return tonight for my final meal in town. Come on Manhattan!!!! Keep doing what the Vista Drive In does and you could really turn things around... You see, I have been coming out here for several years and have been basically batting 500 with loca establishments.. I am not a picky person per say, but when its bad, it is bad and when it is good.. I let you know. Thank you Vista Drive In for setting my evening on the right path with a delicious meal and expectations for many to come. Semper Fi

This is such a good burger joint! My first time hitting this place up. I'm not from around here and have seen this on google maps itself when looking for food, but I finally committed and gave it a go. Shame I didn't try this sooner. It's like a smash burger, minimal ingredients and good flavor. I even grabbed myself a corn dog and that was cooked well also I wish I was in town longer to have come back and tried some more options because the menu here is huge. I'm sure it can satisfy most cravings. This place looks old school alone and it's comforting, with a hot meal, and great atmosphere. The wait wasn't long and the staff was nice.

We tried Vista Drive In for the first time while traveling through Kansas to visit a friend. Our friend highly recommended it so we stopped for lunch. Boy did it surpass our expectations. We all ordered Vista Burgers (2- with cheese & bacon 1- plain) the burgers were hot, fresh & delicious. We received our order quickly especially with it being lunchtime. All employees we spoke with were courteous & knowledgeable about their business. We definitely enjoyed our old time diner experience.

Boy was I psyched to have lunch with my college friend from 54 years ago at our old haunt! VISTA!!! Was really happy they still have a pork tenderloin sandwich! And it was delicious!! However, the new pickle chips were a terrible disappointment all around!!! Too pricey for the serving size! And they were either way undercooked or they did not get the pickles dry enough before they battered them because it was mush between the crispy outside and the crunchy pickle in the middle! Won't be having them again! Sorry Vista but PC Grill has the best pickle chips! My friend's Vista burger with onion rings she said were awesome! It was a fun lunch with my bestie reliving our college days of long ago!

This vintage spot is perched by itself on a hill with nothing surrounding it so I was hopeful that it was good. We tried the mozzarella sticks and the burger and fries. I was too full to try anything else, but was interested in the milkshakes. They include the tax in their prices which I really like. The Texasburger combo was $10. So double burger that was a good size, fries, and a drink which was a great price. Worth the money and a great taste. Not a lot added, just a great burger. The mozzarella sticks were yummy, but I probably wouldn't get again unless I was in a group. The combo itself was more than enough. Will definitely eat here again when I come back to visit.

Windchill of -20, just finished getting child moved in and settled for the Spring semester and all 4 of us are hungry.First time eating at Vista- went through the drive-thru; 3:00pm on a Saturday. Ordered 4 combo meals and side of onion rings. Service was great, fast, friendly and everyone enjoyed their burger combos! Onion rings were fabulous!Will def go back when in Manhattan.

Never had a problem going through the drive thru here' Their hot dogs in particular are amazing, not to mention friendly service at the window!

I have driven by many times and finally this summer decided to give it a go. Far and away the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich I have ever had!The staff was kind and my kiddos all enjoyed their burgers and fries. We have been back a couple times while camping @ Tuttle.

Best pork tenderloin sandwich I've had. It felt like I took a step back into the 70s when I went in. A bit overpriced, but worth it.

Great place if you're an ignorant racist old white man but I am not. so let me just say If I could I would've put negative zero stars I've never felt more disappointed and disgusted in my whole life.I went in for an interview and first off I sat in there for 10 minutes before any employee greeted me then getting to the interview with the owner not even 5 minutes into the interview the owner had made an inappropriate racial comment and then about 2 minutes later he had made another one. he acted in a way that seemed extremely rude, disrespectful, and racist he had made comments about customers and employees that I found to be quite disturbing and distasteful. I have never in my life wanted to walk out of an interview until that day. There is absolutely no professionalism within this business.
