Village Barber & Style shop is truly exceptional. The staff's level of respect, engagement, encouragement, positivity, and attention to fine detail is unparalleled. Edison's beard work and fades, are especially noteworthy and are the best I've ever experienced, my critique being given by my background as a former US Marine. I consider myself fortunate to have found such a skilled barber. The shop's pseudo 50's vibe with a contemporary twist creates a unique atmosphere. The tasteful music, respectful conversations, and the staff's ability to intuitively gauge customer preferences make it a standout grooming destination. It's more than just a haircut--it's an all-around positive and enjoyable experience.Edison was the gentlemen who cut my hair in preparation for my professional headshot.

Jose has been my go-to guy for a couple years now and he is awesome. Great guy that is always fun to chat with and provides excellent haircuts at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I've forever said goodbye to Great Clips and all of the fair to middlin' haircuts now that I've found Michelle at VBSS. She took the time to give me the best haircut I've had ever since Richard Lundy retired. Granted, Great Clips was cheaper but the compliments I got the very first day of my new haircut from VBSS more than made up for it.

In town for a meeting, needed a last minute cut and I wish I could've taken Michelle back with me! The experience was great from the encouraging words, to the friendly conversation, to one of the best cuts and styling I've ever had! Highly recommended.

I take my son here and Michelle does a great job on his super thick, wavy and hard to control hair. Highly recommend this shop!

So, I brought my son here for the first time and I'd say I wasn't too impressed. $25 for a cut, $35 for a zero shave. I told the guy cutting my son's hair that I know it's typically not that short, but it's fairly short. However, he told me 2 additional times the cost. He cut my son's hair and was DONE. I told him that I would like the sides shorter as he cut it at a 1. He let me know he did not have the time to correct it. The haircut looks nice, however, the sides were long enough that it looked like he was almost due for another haircut. He already had my son out of the chair and ready for me to pay. I was really disappointed. Other places I have been to begin to cut the hair and ask if it was to our liking, or if it was the correct length. My son even said to him it was too long. License the type that does not typically complain and goes with the flow, however, the one time he speaks up, he was shut down. Needless to say we won't be returning. My son said he was nice. So, if you want a haircut to the barbers liking and no client satisfaction this would be the place. I believe he was a newer barber. That's not how you build clientele.

Edison did a great job with my cut and is very funny. I will be coming back as long as I live in Wichita.

Great cut at a great price. Gera has always done a great job with my hair and beard. I told him how I comb my hair and he took it from there. Looked better walking out than I did walking in every time.

I agree with Daniel P. Not the friendliest staff to walk-ins.If you walk-in, be prepared to sit while people go ahead of you.Which would be easier, if they would at least explain what's going on.But no, all I got were blank stares. Not a friendly place.
