Via Christi Clinic is not the same clinic the formerly named Wichita Clinic was. It seems all the fine physicians have abandoned it. The referral system is horrible and dangerous. It may take a month or longer to get an appointment with a cardiologist when experiencing shortness of breath and could be months for a needed colonoscopy or weeks waiting for an appointment to be scheduled with a general surgeon. It shouldn't take weeks to get a call to schedule an appointment with a specialist. Having been a clinic patient for over 30 years, it pains me to see the reduction in quality of care.

Dr. Tammie Nelson & her nurse are patient, professional, and helpful. The front desk staff are kind and helpful as well as any nurses I've interacted with. Clean and modern as well!

Dr Petrakis, my personal physician is a throw back to the good ole days when it comes to patient relations. I have been going to her for the last 6 years and have always felt as if I've had her undivided attention during our visits. You will be impressed to know that she is not dry and clinical. She is small town in a big city. My Mother has dementia and Dr P is a perfect resource for information. She has great intonation about the sandwich, (us 40 something's looking at a future of taking care of our aged parents) If you are needing a great Dr look her up.

Thank you for the outstanding care at the Via Christi Immediate Care on West 21st. The wait was quick and all of the follow up care we needed was in the same building (breathing treatment, blood work and chest x-ray). The medical care team really listened and recommended evidenced based care. It was quick, easy and everyone from the receptionists, scheduling, x-ray tech, nurses and APN's were outstanding!!! It was very clean and had easy parking!! I called back later in the day to update my insurance and it took 3 minutes. So impressed!!!!

Dr. Patraski was my physician. As an earlier poster said, she was a good ole fashion doctor, who took the time to listen to you and get to know you. Not just a good physician but a great person. I miss her terribly although I understand why she decided tht she and Via Christi are no longer a match. I'm thinking the same thing. I am now a patient of Dr. Beville who is young. I don't mind young because they are usually up on the latest and greatest, but I'm still not sure she knows what I need as a patient--and I do have a history. With Dr. Patraski I would be a 5 out of 5, I think I'm being generous. Part of my medium response is because Via Christi is a Roman Catholic (and I'm Roman Catholic but I'm also pro life as defined by Sister Joan Chittister, O.S.B) run clinic where I don't believe doctors are allowed to practice medicine without the caveat of anti-choice indoctrination.

After going to my doc & calling my insurance company (both told me i can make my own appt.) I called to schedule my first mammo. I am new to KS & wanted to go close to my new home & with my mother since its my first mammo. After being on hold & transferred 3X, I was told to call the patient registration dept. first because I wasn't already in their system & I would have to call back to schedule in 3 days once that dept. puts me "in" the system. First the woman in Registration, Grace, didn't even know they had a location on W. 21st St. I waited almost 20 minutes as she was typing away. Then, after I gave her the address over & over she said I needed to have my doctor schedule it because she couldn't figure out how to add me. OMG!!! It was so frustrating. I told her she lost 2 patients & now I know not to deal with Via Christi in this town.
