I am from the Kansas City area but my family lives not too far from Hutch. We have been to the emergency vet in Wichita and it was WAY expensive and they were extremely rude and I personally felt like we were judged for the things we didn't want done to my dog. They made us sign out AMA "against medical advice" and made us feel terrible for not doing everything they recommended. So this past weekend my pug got bit by a golden doodle. The wounds were pretty severe so we made the decision to be safe and take her to an emergency vet. I googled other vets in the area to see if we had any other option besides the Wichita emergency vet. I am so thankful we stumbled upon VCA. They were so great, got us in within an hour and were extremely gentle with my girl. Even with COVID, they were able to stitch her up and put in a drain. The doctor called and advised of the situation and what they recommend and they called every 15 minutes to update us. The tech explained everything for post-care and was so kind and gentle. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is in need of pet care on a weekend or in any emergency. Another plus is that it didn't cost an arm and a leg like most emergency vets! Avoid Wichita and go to VCA!

My first experience at this Veterinarian office was great ! We took our large old dog for chiropractic care. The staff lady was really nice and Dr. Fisher was very personable. I have another visit scheduled and I am looking forward to it.

Don't go to this vet clinic!! The "vet tech" who I had to deal with this afternoon was rude and unprofessional. She barged out into the lobby with no intro and grabbed my large dog's leash out of my hand. Then she proceeded to pull out syringes; I had two dogs with me by the way right in the middle of the very small lobby area with another big dog and it's owner right there and another man who was waiting to pick up his dog. When I resisted and said no we need a room and started walking down the hall she pushed past me and tried to shut me out of the room saying fine we will see the dogs you, meaning me need to go sit in the lobby. I told her no way would I leave my dogs with you. And she then proceeded to snatch and grab at my dogs trying to get them to do what she wanted. No good boys or treats offered just a mean gruff attitude. When I finally made it back to the receptionist I started asking her if it was standard practice for them to give vaccines in the lobby and the rude loudmouth reappeared beside me blabbing that I wasn't paying to see a vet just a vet tech and so I could pay more if I wanted to go into a room. $248 later with a flu booster for a weenie dog and a large dog and 6 months of heart worm treatment for both , and I still feel violated, disrespected and shocked 3 hours later. Someone tell me how this place stays in business !!!!

Very disappointed in this vet. We drove all the way from out of town, twice, because we were impressed that they offered pet care plans. They diagnosed our cat with having crystal in her pee on both visits. Did not do any blood samples, etc. All they did was give us some special food. After two months, the cat was not any better, so we took her to a local vet. They found that she had fleas, which was not diagnosed by VCA. They actually did blood tests and the results were that she has a Urinary Tract Infection. They gave her a shot, in addition to food, which we hope should solve the problem.

Dr. Matt and his staff were AMAZING with our large dog who doesn't like to get her blood drawn! They knew it would be a challenge, yet still treated our dog (and me) with incredible patience, care, and respect. I couldn't be more pleased. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.
