Even though I have only been in Wichita for 30 hours Vagabond Café is already my favorite bar. An outside sitting area, inside old school bar - and the prices cannot be beat. I'll be back...maybe in another four hours.Check it out!

Vagabond is a hole in the wall, no frills, dive bar. They have coffee and tea drinks and a full bar. Vagabond does not serve food. The charm of this spot is their $2 mystery beer. This is exactly how it sounds, you pay $2 and receive a mystery can or bottle of beer. Sometimes they have one mystery beer, other times there are several different beers in the mystery selection. There is a patio in the front and back for seating. There are a large amount of games to choose from if you and your party want to play games. There are art pieces on display for sale from local artists. These pieces are rotated periodically, so there is always something new to look at. This is a good place to meet friends or do homework.

I loved this place. Equal parts dive bar and coffee shop, Vagabond Cafe offers the best of both worlds. I stopped by at night not quite knowing what to expect. There's a full bar, tables, and booths. It very much feels like this has long been a bar before a coffee shop. Still, there were baked goods and other light bites available, much like you'd see at any coffee shop. Plus a full menu of all your caffeinated favorites to enjoy alongside books, board games and more.As far as patrons there at midnight on a Wednesday night, the were both those enjoying libations alongside a few sober folks enjoying late night coffee and surfing the internet/working.I fell in love with this place as soon as I took my fantastic house martini from the bar to a booth in the corner to read some Calvin & Hobbes, a book provided at the table. This would be a great spot to work from in the afternoon. You could start off with coffee and end your day with a stiff drink as soon as you're ready to put your laptop away. The world needs more places like the Vagabond Cafe!

The Vagabond is one of the only coffee shops I have known that is also a full service bar! It's a great spot to bring your laptop and study or do whatever. There's a great patio out back and in front. It's fun to sit out front and enjoy all the fun and activity happening on Douglas in Delano. They offer a small amount of snacks, like bagels and cookies. My go to drink is an Irish coffee. Gotta love the taste of baileys and Jameson in a coffee. This place has been a great local hangout for years and it will continue to thrive for years to come.

I love this place. It's not without it's quarks, but I just love the vibe. Solid selection of beers and a full bar. Great coffees.Forget the food. They have snacks, but I just pass. Unless it's the occasional muffin in the morning.

Bar and coffee shop, doy, that's what all the other reviews say. It's fun, because you go with a friend to get a bloody mary (they're good, that's why) and they order a coffee and you're like, "WHAT? Coffee? In the afternoon?!" Or you order a coffee because you're meeting for a Marxist-Leninist discussion and someone orders one of the $2 beers and you're like, "WHAT? 2 dolla beers? That's the same price as coffee!" I wish I could tell you about the front where all the cool kids hang, or the inside where all the cool kids hang, but I'm mostly in the back where all the cool kids hang. Don't come in the back if you like to use the term "hipsters" to refer to atmosphere, because sorry my dude, you ain't a cool kid. Or maybe you are. Hipsters call other hipsters "hipsters" sometimes. I like their hummus, I hear it's from N&J's (or used to be anyway) and I THINK I got a review for them. It's probably five stars. If you're a young lady who can sit for thirty minutes at a time, WATCH OUT! Someone might sketch you. Sorry. No one has sketched me yet, but that's because I am an elusive moth who sits in the shadows... that's what I tell myself anyway. I hear if people hang out here long enough and become regulars they fall in love. So watch out for that too. People, you know, fall out of love also. If you have a friendly dog, it's probably welcome to porch sit. Staff is friendly and always watching. Be prepared to be highly amused by the standard coffee shop artwork in a bar scenario. They look different through various levels of sobriety. Also, my review is bias. You're not smart if you already figured this out. You're not dumb if you didn't.(Doing the following out of force of habit:)Fat girl in me: Give me beer, give me beer, give me bloody mary's and vodka tonics. Give me hummus too! Let's go across the street and eat some ramen.Skinny girl in me: Meet me here to go on a 40mi bike ride (coffee please) and we'll end here and have a drink before I have to ride 8 more miles home.

Heard some people have loved it so stopped by with the fiance. Definetely a mixed crowd with hipsters and town drunks. Bar staff seemed friendly enough but we didn't enjoy our double espressos at all. Coffee itself was pretty weak. We tried one of their bagels and it was tasty as we sipped on the disappointing espressos. We might come back and sip on some wine or try out a new beer but don't recommend the coffee. Great place to hang out and chill with wifi or board games to keep you entertained but the booths and seating are otherwise limited due to number of customers. Decor is vintage and fun. They also had a patio area out front which would be great with warm weather.
