Tuttle Creek Shooting Park

Our experience at Tuttle Creek Shooting Park was great. The people working there were very nice and helpful. A couple of people in our group have never shot a gun and the workers kindly helped show the basics of shooting. I would recommend for new and experienced shooters. The prices were affordable as well.

I decided to go shooting since my brother was in town with his wife. The process was swift and when asked if we shot skeet before we told them yes as we've grown up shooting our whole life in our back yard. We told them we hadn't shot there before and they acknowledged and gave us a quick rundown of the range. We soon got on the range and then my brother and I were yelled at for a few small misunderstandings. My brothers weapon was obviously clear and on safe and he was pointing it straight up towards the sky. The manger or owner I presume stepped out of the building and screamed at him to stop pointing his gun at him... I was watching and the gun was clearly pointing in a safe direction. There was also a staff member with us the entire time. Then another staff member who I guess was in a higher position came out and and yelled at us saying we were being unsafe and not shooting correctly. Ultimately, they treated us like we were kids being unsafe when we've grown up shooting.Bottom line is, there staff isn't trained. Apparently it's not standard skeet shooting but "trapp shooting" to which we weren't aware and they never told us how it's ran. The kid never corrected us in the proper shooting sequence and just let us keep going; even after I asked questions and was told we were fine. Management got involved and made us feel like kids which was comical as everyone around us was far more unsafe. There were group of older gentlemen who were on a lane that were flagging everyone with their weapons, pointing them upwards as well, and walking all around the lanes. General impression was that this place was a "good ol boy" establishment and we didn't fit in based on apparel. Ultimately dissatisfied and definitely will not return. The best part was that an older gentlemen I guess that was apart of the staff was pouring alcohol into two tumblers behind the counter.
