Nick and Co. have been flying under the radar for the last couple years and it's about time they get the recognition they deserve. After buying the infamous Trapper's several years ago, they've been trying to make a new name for themselves. Although they're now named Trapper Joe's, they do share some of the same similarities. Still great chicken fries as well as some new favorites. Sriracha burger is a personal favorite of mine as I am a huge fan of hot foods. Also their desserts are a nice compliment to the evening's meal, especially the brownie w/ ice-cream! Hats off to the Jensen family for moving to a small town and rolling the dice on the restaurant game

Hadn't been here for maybe 12 years or so, I didn't know about change in ownership, but I'm not a local. I'd ate here 3-4 times in the past and loved it. Small town fare is fine by me. Recently I'd been taking some day trips here in central KS and I decided that my route would take me past Simpson and so I checked to see if they were still open and they were, so I had to stop in. Got the chicken fried steak and even though it wasn't as big as some other reviews had said it was big enough, fries were good and cream corn was great too for the second side. If you are ever passing by, don't let the off the beaten path thing get you, this is worth it.
