Needed last minute help loading some furniture in a rented Uhaul after another company backed out last minute. They immediately sent 2 guys out, very polite/helpful and worked quickly, made sure my items were properly wrapped & secured in the truck. Pricing very competitive. Grateful customer :)

I give Thomas Transfer negative "stars" as my review. We were told that all of our belongings that they pack and store would be wrapped and stored for the duration. If this were the case how would everything be damaged and how would random items be lost/missing? To add insult to injury, the "under 25-30 year old guys" they sent to unload the truck and bring into my brand new home, tracked in grease on the carpet throughout our brand new home. Not one of them bothered to acknowledge or offer any kind of apology. Who does that? Thomas Transfer and their hired "I don't give crap...it isn't mine...attitude/mentality! So, if you don't read their "contract" and purchase their "cover their butts" insurance you will only receive a few dollars back from them to replace the items that are actually replaceable and you will have to add much more of your own hard earned money to purchase those replacements. For example, a brand new pair of UGG boots--they gave me $9.00; or my wedding dress (which is irreplaceable) but they gave me a whopping $30.00. This company sends an me a message, to tell me that my purchase has arrived, this was January 15th, the message says someone will contact you to schedule a delivery, or you can call and schedule yourself. I call a someone who clearly hates her job answers and says rudely I will call you on Thursday to schedule. Ok now it's Thursday 5 minutes before 4pm and still no call. I then call and unfortunately the job hating lady's anwsers... Yikes I ask about delivery, and she says rudely we can deliver Jan 26. WOW! It didn't take Overstock that long to ship it, and now it's just going to be sitting. This is just bad. So I'm curious to see what the white glove service is going to be like....

I received a missed call from this company. I called back after googling their number to let them know they reached an incorrect number in the event they were trying to deliver goods to someone who paid for their service.Jenny was extremely rude. She said she was the only one in the office and she hadn't called me. She asked if I needed moving services and was very snotty when I said no.Very poor customer service. I hope whoever Jenny was trying to reach actually receives their items.

We had 12+ boxes lost, serious irreparable damage, and they took no responsibility. Arpin Van Lines, West Warwick, RI, was contracted by the Army to move us as our final move after a 26+ year military career. Arpin subcontracted Thomas Transfer & Storage of Emporia, KS. The movers hired were DAY LABORERS with little to no prior experience, at their own admission. These men had access to 100% of our belongings without a background check. They damaged furniture, shoving dressers through door frames, rather than remove the doors, ripped off a dresser leg, and dropped a Sleeper Sofa out of the back of the moving truck, causing irreparable damages. Our goods were stored in their warehouse before delivery. Once delivered there were over a dozen missing boxes. Now, during the claims process, they're denying a fair settlement and low-balling the offers. My husband is a 100% VA disabled Veteran. They "lost" the expensive Cal King Sleep Number Mattress he needs for his bad back. I know, there's always another side to every story. Their side is they don't want to take responsibility because the damages total over $60K. We wish there was a NO STAR option for our review.

***DO NOT USE THOMAS TRANSFER***One star is one too many. We hired them to move to the east coast. When the truck opened at our new house the movers said they had NEVER seen a crate packed so carelessly. They had stacked boxes directly on wood furniture without any protection. Plastic tubs were unnecessarily turned upside down. Furniture was gouged and scratched....thousands of dollars worth of damage. Fragile items were used to brace very heavy items at the top of the crate. Two items were completely LOST. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING, and AWFUL.

So far our experience with Thomas Transfer and Storage has been extremely positive! Brian Butcher in the Wichita office has been very cordial and helpful. The four packers, Sam, Debbie, Cindy and Kayla have been professional, careful and courteous. This 4-woman team know their business! We look forward to working tomorrow with the loading team and, of course, the delivery in Phoenix! We'll add more as we complete this journey from Kansas to Phoenix.Yesterday the loading team arrived! Alyssa, Brittany, Johnny, Jake, and Bryan did a fantastic job of wrapping our furniture and loading it onto the truck! They were courteous and strong and took the time needed to carefully load our treasures! They even expressed that they liked their job.We are hoping that this team will get to travel to our new home and unload us! Thank you Thomas Transfer and Storage for running a "class act" company!

We had Thomas Transfer and Storage pack, store and move all of our belongings. In the process we had 5 boxes lost and significant damage to our belongings and to the home they moved us from and into.They use what appeared to be day labor and they had very little supervision and did not have the tools needed to disassemble and reassemble our belongings when needed.Be sure to check and read everything. I thought they were trying to sell me property insurance and declined since my homeowners would cover my property. In reality they were selling me insurance to cover the losses and damage they caused. Seems strange that I would be required to pay for insurance to cover them. They also noted everything I had was scratched stained etc before they moved it. In reality our things were in excellent condition but by doing this they can reject your claim even if you do buy their insurance. Again read everything in detail before you sign it.I also suggest you have a detailed inventory of all your belongings so you know exactly what they lose. Also be sure to not let them move anything of value amoung the items they lost included my wife's wedding dress and all my records from my office.It was a miserable experience and I hope I never have to move again.

Broken and missing small items and parts. Scratches and dents in wood furniture. Denied almost all claims and denied responsibility. Damaged wall in home I moved from and didn't bother to mention it.
