This is strictly a day drinking review, no food here. I had the Ali's Pale Ale and this was what the Dr. ordered for my long walk from the hotel. Service was excellent, you can taste before purchasing. My favorite part about this brewery is it's not over the top with bells and whistles; it's just the nuts n' bolts of brewing.

3rd place was open late enough that we could make it in to fill out our little punch cards. The space was small, but cozy and there was enough space at the bar for the four of us to sit down. Tia, our bartender was quiet but friendly. She let us sit there for a while to go over the beer list. I like sours and they had a Berliner Weisse on tap. Tia asked if I wanted syrup in it, super traditional and super old school. The tartness of the beer was balanced out by the raspberry syrup. Tia also let me try out some of the other beers. If I had come to TPB earlier I probably would have had some space left but their stout and ESB were super tasty. A low key place to check out.

Neat little Old Town joint. I read one of the reviews takes exception with the name "brewery" because they don't serve food - thus liquor license only, which means no minors. That is BS, a brewery is a place that brews and serves beer. TPB does that. So let's move on with the review. When in Wichita, I work literally two doors to the west of this place, and so I finally decided to try it out, and have been there now three times.I like the whole in the wall decor. The bar is neat, and there are a few tables, like 4-5 tables. The beer selection is not huge, but well thought out. You got your basics represented and that is good. It is a small place so it's not like they can brew and present 50 types of beer. What I have tried so far is solid, and makes me come back for more - plus it is convenient location-wise to me.The service is friendly, most of the time. It is family owned and the gentleman and who I think might be his wife (sister?) are nice and welcoming. There is another lady, who was not quite as nice. Not sure she belongs in the hospitality business, might have to rethink career choices here, just sayin'. Those who work at customer facing establishments need to be on their game. Final note on service, while at the bar they ask you to cough up a credit card with the first order. That might be appropriate at a crowded night club with lots of people piling up on the bar so you want to make sure you hold onto the customer's plastic to run the tab. But at a cozy family brewery? Please rethink that. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. Let me have my beer and close the tab if I need to go after one, or two or three and give you my card to close the tab when I need to go. Like Mort's does it, or pretty much everywhere else.I think TPB has the potential to be a 4-star, maybe even 5-star establishment. Here is the path: (1) fix your service attitude by a) making sure ALL those representing you understand the value of a smile and a positive attitude, and b) don't hunt for my credit card the moment I sit down = 1 star. And (2) add some cold food noshing choices so customers have something to eat = 1 star. I understand running a hot kitchen is a whole different game, but if you serve cold food you do not need to cook, it elevates your service offering. Small cold plates of cheese, cold cuts and bread will go a long way, and priced $4-$7 they add another revenue source. I don't know what food license you need to have for those in Wichita, but it may be worth investing into it.I'll be back of course, and hopefully I will be able to update my review.

Place was dead, granted it was a holiday. Appreciate you being open, unlike 99% of downtown wichita. That being said there's a reason it's dead. Beer is just okay. Weird customers. Brandishing merch they don't actually have. Merch was "meh" anyways. This place vs. The one down the street walkin distance? It's like Night vs. Day.Yall need to do some collaboration or get a new brewer or both. Can't compete with NORTONS. Never will.Third place makes perfect sense for a name.

Super neat little brewery that took me back to some of the pubs in Europe. Went in with an USAF buddy and a friend of his. Had a Redtruck that was very good and cold but the Springboard was my favorite. Very helpful lady at the bar and two guys were also very helpful. Neat two man band up front doing a great job with some old classics.

Third Place Brewing was a nice, tiny place in downtown Wichita. I personally LOVED that they had a wide selection of games to choose from and my cousin and I sat there and played for quite some time. As for the beer, their selection was rather small which is common for small breweries, but I felt as though the diversity was lacking. I think having one more light beer on there would have been good and maybe one less dark beer. I'm sure it's all seasonal though. I had their pumpkin beer and had a really bad headache toward the end which I don't want to blame on the beer but could definitely be possible. I've been to several breweries in Wichita and I'd say there are others that I fancy just a bit more.

Great choices of beers. We had 8 to choose from a great variety of beers from light to dark. The servers were very knowledgeable on all the different brew choices. This is a neat place for some good brew!!!

A terrific brewery! Third Place stands out from the crowd! They offer 8 circulating beers while most in the area only have 5 or 6. Their mission is good beer at an affordable price. We enjoyed it because the concentrate on serving great beer with prompt service. They treated us like family and even gave us a mini-tour. The flights were very good. Try the Black Toro and the Old Town Alt. Make this part of your beer tour or become a regular! Bonus: they fill growlers.

We discovered Wichita has a little map that if you visit 8 locations and get stamps, you get a free shirt! That's how we found this awesome little gem. They were super nice and welcoming, made an effort to talk to us and recommend beers based on our preferences. We decided to hang out and play one of their many games, and they made sure to keep checking on us to see if anything was needed. The beers were lovely and easy to drink, very well described on the menu. I liked the red head one best.

Beertenders are very polite and easy to chat with, so service is a plus. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, so a bit quiet but that's to be expected. The beers themselves were fairly average, but they hit just about every style. They also serve mixed drinks, which my wife appreciates (not a big beer drinker).
