The Yard

Always like going in and dimming around to see what I can't live with out. They have a ton of stuff for the garage guy. Take a trip and see what they have to offer. You won't regret it.

This is one of my husband's favorite places ever. He is like a 6 year old getting the run of a candy store. They have almost everything imaginable. It is from used to new to unsure. It is not for the person who doesn't want to get dirty, you will I promise. They have fibers, metal, bolts, parts, nylon, pretty much anything you can imagine.They have the store, then you go outside and it's a BIG YARD with metal, metal, and more metal, big, small, round square, flat, and other shapes and sizes. They can often times cut it for you. They also have old signs, we bought our daughter a school street sign. They have speed limits, street signs, pretty much any city/county sign no longer used.To add the topping to the cake they have a Coke machine, although it's $.90 for a can, it is Coke.

I LOVE The Yard! It's a builders dream! So many random supplies to create anything you could ever imagine! Sometimes I go just to wander around and get ideas. They have a huge selection of metal pipes, sheets, blocks, etc. Tons of screws, bolts, and springs. Lots of foam and then random tools and bags and just all sorts of rad stuff. It's definitely worth checking out. The employees are always happy to help you find what you're looking for or suggest another place to get it. They seem to actually enjoy their jobs!

Sort of like an army surplus store for hardware. Walking up and down every aisle is a must since things change all the time. I dare you to walk out without finding something you never thought you would need, but found anyway. lolThe only downside is the very very tiny, cramped parking lot.

Great place to get that "whosawhatser" your looking for. You can spent a lot of time here and find something new every time. I come here to get metal. They have new and used. They cut it to the size you need. There are busy times, so it is best to call ahead if you are going to need slot of cuts done on the metal you are purchasing. Locally owned- always the best.

Maybe I'm slightly on the odd end of the scale, but I love browsing the isles of this place. From rope to tools, to camo, to metal, this place has a random collection of items at an extremely cheap price. The other day I saw a set of bowls for .50 cents next to air compressors. The metal yard is in the back and the random crap store is in the front....... I love this place.You need surgical tubing - they got it.You need hats they say police - they got it.You need fabric (heavy duty fabric....... they got it.......... and of course they have duct tape.

My all time favorite place to look for odds and ends to complete my many projects. They have a great surplus selection of just about any hardware you can imagine and have a friendly staff to help you look for those hard to find items.

This place is phenomenal! Whenever I travel through Wichita, a trip to The Yard is a must. I am a performing artist, and there are just so many great deals on such a variety of materials that I use for my projects! This store has to have saved me hundreds of dollars over the past several years, just in aluminum tubing alone! Like a great used book store, only for scrap metal and tools and building materials and miscellany, you should come here with a browsing mindset, and you will have a great time!

I pretty like this store! I went there and bought stuff for many years. However, recently the staff there are very rude and racist. Especially, the staffs inside the store are lazy and not helpfu!

We drove all the way over from Hutchinson to pick up a piece of metal we needed. We got there at 4:40. We were told that they wouldn't cut the piece we needed. They were very rude about it. They said come back tomorrow. We own our own business and if someone walks in 20 minutes before closing we help them. There is no chance we will come back
