The Wine Journal

I've heard so many friends rave about this place and I finally had the chance to stop in. OH MY GOODNESS - I'M SO GLAD I DID! I had the apple Gorgonzola salad and added chicken. The vinaigrette dressing is seriously the best I've ever had. The salad was large, the chicken was tender and the yummy toppings were plentiful. I was too full for dessert, but I did get a slick finish their homemade chocolate wine cake to go. I enjoyed it later in the evening and it was heavenly. I'll definitely be back!

Made a reservation several days in advance. Though the place wasn't particularly crowed I waited 20 minutes without a single employee engaging me. All the while my auditory system was being assaulted by the "live music" which ironically was being performed by a corpse. It was so bad that once we found someone to help us we gave up our reservations to be seated on the patio. The food was good but not great. The service was terrible. But given the level of inebriation amongst the patrons I'm not surprised the reviews are so glowing.

What a great atmosphere. The wine selection is great, snacks and small plates looks divine. We just stopped in for a glass on our journey. Definitely want to come back

It's a beautiful space inside and there is a cute patio area. I've only ever been when they have a live musician so it can get busy. They have a nice selection of wine options but also offer beer if you don't want wine. The food that I have had is good too. I have tried the Greek salad and the BBQ chicken salad - both delicious. Cute spot and if you're a local gives you an option of something to do.

This place is such a gem. There is a reason we drive 45 min each way to go here a couple times per month! It blows my mind that this amazing place is located in the middle of a town that has a population of 1500! The wine selection is amazing, and features some fantastic Missouri wines! Whatever your taste, The Wine Journal has you covered! The also have an good craft beer selection, so don't let the name fool ya! The food is fantastic, too! They have incredible pizza, and even offer a GF/low carb crust! If you are feeling something lighter, they also have an amazing charcuterie tray! And don't skip dessert! If their signature cake doesn't appeal to you, grab a chocolate tray! It is amazing! And...The service is amazing! The employees are so great! The employees are one of my very favorite parts of going to The Wine Journal.

We were seated right away. The waitress was super friendly and helped us quickly. The food was good. They let my friend sample some wine to see what she liked.

You gotta try the gluten free buffalo chicken pizza. Its really good. The staff is efficient and friendly.

Wonderful little surprise! The wine flights and appetizers were perfect. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.

The cutest place in town! Love the atmosphere! Daniel and Ty are amazing! The food and wine slushees are by far the best!
