I have now used The Travel Junkie twice and both times they were great. We could always book trips on our own, but when planning a trip out of the country I would much rather leave it to the professionals. For our last trip we worked with Alisa and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very responsive and so knowledgeable. We were so impressed with all the additional information she provided about the area. My family had an amazing time thanks to Alisa's recommendations. Now that we are home from our last vacation, I am ready to work with Alisa to plan my daughter's senior trip!

Reviews are opinions and mine is that this might be the worse travel agency I have used. Although the agent was quick to respond, until she wasn't, it still felt as though they do not communicate well and are unable to make reasonable accommodations. During my correspondence I kept getting out of the office replies. I do not suggest them for any travel needs.

Extremely poor communication. I requested a quote in June. A month later and still no word. I emailed again to request a status update and was told they were too busy to help me. How is that even possible? Very poor customer service.

I love this company! From start to finish they made my vacation planning a piece of cake. I've used them on four Vacations so far (couples and groups) and planning the next here shortly. Not only do they match or beat pricing that I found online they were there for me when I had a room mix up at a resort in Mexico. One quick email to Jay and a couple minutes later I had a very pleasing response. The hotel honored the proper accommodations with extras!

Will never book through this company again. Please be sure to research all other options available before doing so. They have made a first time traveler experience absolutely dreadful. After a major family emergency and death in the family I regretfully and understandably had to cancel my trip. Prior to cancellation I reached out to the agent in advance asking what my options were etc. We were advised that I had 24 hours to cancel and I would receive a full refund minus the deposit which was understood. Today, over 40 days since the trip was cancelled no refund has been received. After a full dahy of stressful interactions with an Agent who acts as if she has never processed a cancellation, false information, and the run around I have been informed that almost 50% of my refund is being with held because of a shared room and that the insurance purchased is basically worthless. very bad customer service. they are more worried about selling a trip than taking care of its customers

Booked a vacation for a friends wedding in Mexico. We purchased the insurance since you never know what will happen in the span of a year. We ended up moving out of state so we needed to change our reservations (flight from a different city and needed to shorten our stay). The travel agent we used was Becca D. I tried to get ahold of her for well over a week before I was able to get ahold of her. I called a few times a day and left several messages. Once I finally got ahold of her and explained my situation she told me it was no problem and she would make the changes. The next day she called back to say that the resort was booked full (which it wasn't before because I had been checking on rates daily) so we would not be able to change our reservations, which made no sense to me since we already had our room booked and made our insurance a useless waste of money. After going back and forth for several days we decided to cancel our trip. She said it would take 14-21 days to get our money refunded.. After the 21 days I sent her an email letting her know I hadn't received it yet. She emailed back saying 14-21 business days, not calendar days. Fine, I understand, but that should have been clarified. So at 21 business days email her again. She says to wait a couple of days and then she would call and check on it. So after a couple of days I still don't have it, so she calls. She messed something up when she was doing the refund and said it was going to take another week. We finally received our refund well after a month later. I will not be using them in the future. It's not worth the headache and we missed out on our friends wedding and lost over $200 that we paid for useless insurance. She did try to give us other options which included stating at a different resort over 20 mins away and after talking to the resort, they agreed to let us shorten our stay for several hundred extra dollars... No actual solution.

When it comes to planning a trip (be it for business or pleasure), Is there anyone who is more fun to work with than Jay & Becca Dill? I doubt it! They have an enthusiasm for travel that's infectious and it rests on a foundation of outstanding customer service.

Had my initial call with an agent, I wasn't impressed with the way she spoke to me as if I was dumb. Then I was told she'd get back to me with quotes by Friday (3 days after the call), and I never heard anything until the following Friday and only because I reached out to her.
