The Slope

I love supporting local businesses. What great about this place is it caters well to the ski people! They are very well knowledgeable and always have the desire to help. They have all the gear you need from socks to coats to actual equipment to ski/snowboard in Colorado. You can go in here just to buy a few things or plan an entire trip from start to finish through them. They can cater to your needs as much or as little as you need. Every year in February they run a big special sale, perfect timing for all the people who enjoy going in the spring over winter. Sign up for their email distribution list to get the latest and greatest from them. They will not bombard you with to many emails.

Wichita is lucky to have an option like The Slope! So preferred to the monster chains like Dicks or Genders etc. The staff is played back, helpful, and on our side. Plus their a local business! I can still find much of the merchandise on line for less, but usually I'd rather shop at The Slope.

A little bit of the feel of a ski resort right here in Wichita. Their rental equipment though is in much better shape than what you will find in Colorado. I've also had them give my skis a tune up & they do a very good job. Also lift tickets are a little cheaper with out the hassle of waiting in line at the slopes. I've bought boots, skis & poles here & have been very satisfied.

Just rent your skis at the mountain. I spoke with three different employees who had three different theories on which was the better move regarding rental : rent at slope and haul out there with free rack, rent on mountain or local ski rental outfit, or measure there at slope and have rentals ready at mountain. In the end, I was so thoroughly confused that I paid for my lift tickets and decided to just rent in winter park, since none of them could tell me a clear answer or opinion. Ski accessories were on sale. Three stars for equipment and discounted lift tickets.

This is the place to go if you need any Ski equipment. They have he latest and best stuff in Wichita. The service is good but you need to make sure that if you are there on the special days that you are ready to see a full store.

I've been to the Slope 3 times over the past 4 weeks. They have been very helpful and the owner has been interactive with us every time. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend them for all your snow skiing needs!
