Love this place, and I love the Midland. It's nice to have it right in the hotel--very convenient when you're staying there. It can get crowded quickly depending on the night, but well worth it.

Hreat hotel bar and restaurant; good food choices, fast service, and a fairly well-stocked bar! The history behind the name just puts it over the top for Hx buffs like me!The Fried Pickle Appetizer was fantastic; very crispy and enough food for several hungry diners! The Pit Roast Special was pretty good, with Potatoes & Carrots - plus a Side Salad. The Bacon Cheeseburger was excellent, as were the drinks! We split the Bread Pudding for dessert and it was the crowning star; soft like pudding under a nice crust of Cinammon Bread on top! Yumm!!

Phenomenal hidden gem. Delicious upscale comfort food and AMAZING cocktails. We had the meatloaf and the pot roast - both delicious. It took a little while for them to take our order, but it was all worth the wait. Feels a bit like an underground speakeasy - sweet bar!

Traveling across the country and please just stop and come and eat. We both had mashed potatoes, slaw, corn and FRESH Fried Chicken like grandma made. It was Awesome. Service FANTASTIC. Just eat here and enjoy.

This restaurant was so good! My boyfriend and I ate at it two nights in a row. My personal favorite was the spaghetti with meatballs and my boyfriend really loved the meatloaf! Then we had crème Brulé for desert, again SO GOOD! The staff is great, especially Gunnar. I was very impressed by the sample room. A great small town stop!

Delicious stop after a long travel day located in the basement of the Historic Midland Railroad Hotel. The homemade bread was warm, the salad was delightful, and the house made chips were incredible. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak for dinner while sitting at the bar.

Quite the find!!! We were just passing through on our way to see the solar eclipse on Aug 21st. My husband booked rooms in the Midland Railroad Hotel, and this restaurant just happened to be part of the hotel. First off, the hotel is quite an experience in itself, and I would highly recommend staying here. The restaurant was in the basement of the hotel. The restaurant itself had a cozy unique feel with a finely carved wooden bar on one end of the room. We found a good spot to sit, and were immediately welcomed by the waitress. Food was good, not a disappointment in the least, with fresh salad and ribeye steaks that were grilled well. Bread was ok but not especially impactful. After dinner, we sat out on the patio that apparently had not been overlooked in the gardening aspect. It was peaceful and relaxing. Overall a highly enjoyable experience.

Outstanding martini, great steak, excellent cajun chicken pasta and fabulous service. What more could you ask for?

Means a lot to me when people do things the right way and that is how Melinda took care of us. The food was absolutely delicious. The sirloin was perfectly seasoned, the mashed potatoes and gravy were hot and had great texture, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. We cleaned our plates! Look forward to eating here again soon!
