These issues might be minimal to a lot of people, and may even come across as me nitpicking, but I've been here 4 years (almost) and these things matter to me as someone who likes to get out and apartment around the apartment complex. If you're interested in the pool during the summer, they close it a lot for maintenance. Sometimes they tell people via text or email, sometimes you don't find out until you get down there and see it's closed. Also, it might be closed one day, or seven days. I understand this isn't a big deal to some, but it's a downfall with how frequently it happens. This most recent summer the residents got informed they'd keep the pool open to September 15th (since the weather was cooperating, and they wanted to make up for frequent closures), but they didn't keep it open and didn't notify us they wouldn't actually keep it open as they said they would. Poor communication. The website for the Ridge also advertised their gym as, "state-of-the-art fitness center," and it only has 3 pieces of equipment in a tiny room, with one of three being down for longer than 6 months. I did report it a ways back, but didn't see if it got fixed. It was down for so long though that the office should've had it fixed, we do pay to live here and utilize these amenities. The restroom next to the indoor basketball court (that you also use if you're swimming during the summer and going to their world class fitness center) is so unsanitary and unclean that I walk back to my apartment to use the restroom. I don't think maintenance or the office staff care about that restroom since they don't have to use it (the toilet doesn't flush well, or it's clogged, the door doesn't fully latch shut without heavy force and then it's hard for my child to open, it stinks even when the toilet isn't clogged, and it's a hit or miss if you'll have hand soap or paper towels to use). You cannot call and get through to anybody, at any given time, unless you file it as an "emergency", but even then, you wait for a call back. Your best bet is to text them and wait for a text back. When you renew your lease after a year (and ongoing), they give you "update" options. Free steam cleaning for your carpets, new shower head for your restroom, new light fixture in kitchen, and some others- but they will not bring it up to you unless you inquire about it, and if you inquire about it "too late", you don't get anything with your lease renewal. When the rent increases, nothing is improving to justify the rent increases. Maintenance is quick though, the property is relatively quiet in comparison to other Haysville apartments, and the dog park is kept clean and mowed all year.

More restrictions than a college dorm. Monthly newsletter is more like a "You Can't do This" list. Maintenance requests take a substantial amount of time to get addressed. Refundable deposit is not so refundable. Never felt so micromanaged in my life. And I'm 55 years old. Apartments are decent but I couldn't wait to move out after about 3 months. Better than being homeless but proceed with caution. LOTS of hidden fees.
