In the hallway, just off the main great room. The story of *Rosie* . And a painting, capturing the essence of Rosie.
"Trego Station" Room #9 . Inspired decorating. History. Modern-day comforts.
"Wilcox" Room #8 . I don't know if all the rooms have fridges, but the four I saw, did. And, each one looks antique-ish. *So creative*
"Buckeye" Room #7 . Rustic, quaint, lovely, quiet, and homey. And clean. Did I mention CLEAN.?!

Super cute place for a quick simple bite to eat. The restaurant is located within the Prairie Rose Inn and the servers were very friendly and attentive! The menu was simple, but had a variety of choices. I ordered a salad based on the reviews and it was okay, just a little pricey in my opinion for it to be mostly romaine lettuce. The okra was very tasty; however, for the amount you get I also think this was a little pricey. We also ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was probably the best bang for your buck and quite tasty!

Great new place to stay in Wakeeney and affordable. Not far from the highway and convenient to restaurants and service stations. Clean and comfortable room and a quiet night's sleep! There is an outside bar and entertainment area in the back, and totally remodeled on the inside. Breakfast is available in the morning, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

****Hidden Gem****This is one of "those places" where you go to get away from it all. Not really a traditional motel, not a bed & breakfast, but more of a "boutique" motel.Created in an old retirement center, the place has its own evening restaurant, and morning breakfast cafe. So, if you are like us, you can park the car, have supper, and a nightcap (or 4), and not worry about driving back to your bed. In the morning, the breakfast is much more than a continental donut. While it's not free, the selection of proteins, carbohydrates, and lattes is definitely worth it. Fair warning: the outside of the place looks like a rundown shack. But, I think that is on purpose. Because, inside, each of the guest rooms has its own decor. the general manager allowed us to take a peek inside three rooms, besides our room. If you are a history lover, you can spend hours in this place.!To top it all off, check-in/check-out is smoother than anything I have ever experienced.! We received the code to our room, and never had to see a human being, if we didn't want to, to enjoy our room. In order to check out, we followed the directions, and just left the door open a little bit for the cleaning service. I hope we can stay here enough times to stay in each of the 16-18 rooms, to enjoy each of the themes.

The food is excellent and very well priced! My parents and I are visiting from FL and have eaten there the last two nights. They did not disappoint! Both servers we had were absolutely amazing and on top of all our needs! Even the general manager was talking with us. He even told us the back story or how the Mr Smiths sandwich was created! Would definitely recommend!

The manager was wonderful and friendly! The food was overly-salty for my palate, but the manager offered to have remade and leave off the seasoning salt they use. It was still a bit salty, but it is bar food, so I should have expected that. The prices are quite good for a restaurant, however! And the restrooms are really cool!
