I was about 1,500 miles into a 12,000 mile bicycle tour. I decided I needed a down day. After only 25 miles, I stopped and camped early in Girard. I decided I had earned a happy hour drink, but Google didn't really give me much advice except a couple places that serve beer and wine. I decided to explore and slowly worked my way towards the Mexican restaurant in town, hoping they would have a margarita. When I found the restaurant, I noticed The Pink Pickle right next door. I knew the second I stuck my head in that this was the place to stop and chillax. The bartender made me a tasty mojito, so good I had another, then another. I stayed for several hours enjoying the eclectic and happy customers that filtered in as the day aged. This is a place to enjoy yourself, relax, chat with wonderfully unique people, and take in the ambience of pink manikins in feather boas. Drinks are cheap and good, and there's a pool table.
