The place was neat and clean, and the waitress was wonderfull. The only Con that we had was they were out of Dr. Pepper, so we drank sweet tea, and it was OK. Kansas is not known for the sweet tea so i won't hold that against them very much. The ambiance was nice, and we enjoyed our Chips and dip and our food. The sweet potato fries were decent, and could use maybe a caramel or brown sugar dipping sauce of some type to add to it. My total was 4.5 Belly rubs and i will round it up to five. I really like what you all are accomplishing here.Keep on Cookin!"

One of my favorite places to grab a bite. Fantastic vibe, decent service, tasty cocktails.

We found this great local establishment today while passing thru Chanute. Add another 5star review to the Yelp list for The Oustiders Bar & Grill. The special was Chicken Fried Chicken or Chicken Fried Steak. We tried both. I was sold on the Chicken Fried Steak when our server said the steak is fresh from Humboldt. CFS is a splurge meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was delicious!!! Service was friendly and fast. Side note...they have $15 buckets of 6 beers everyday. We could hang out here.

We were in the area (from nearby Wichita) and decided stop for dinner. It also happened to be our anniversary. He had the chicken fried steak and I had the fried fish. Our meals were very good! When he ordered he told me his plan was to take half his chicken fried steak home. Before he knew it, it was gone! My battered fish was super simple and perfectly cooked. No weird seasonings, just perfectly cooked fish; the meat was very tender & clean. We both really enjoyed our meals and the service was good too. The cocktail sauce & tartar sauce were also very good, though the fish shined in its own! We could also hear each other talk which was unexpected coming from an open ceiling establishment. The spray foam helps immensely and so did the wood furniture. We will definitely return when we are in the area!

A culinary jewel in downtown Chanute. Very friendly and customer driven attention + great food variety gives this establishment, a very homely ambiance. For me, being a true 'outsider', it gave me a refuge and a nice place to have a wonderful meal. Will certainly be back...boomerang style.

This place is by far the best restaurant in Chanute, Kansas. We were in Chanute for a basketball tournament, traveling from Springfield, Missouri. The food was excellent, we had 15+ orders to fulfill and there wasn't 1 single order wrong. The food is only the beginning; the hospitality that we received from the restaurant owners was incredible!!! We ate at this establishment twice and knowing we had 15+ people to feed, they gave us a HUGE discount our second visit which cut our price in half. Not only that, the owners spent a lot of time just getting to know us and our basketball team with genuine conversation. They were so welcoming that they even took time out of their lives to come watch us play in our final game at the tournament!! Awesome people, awesome food! 15/10 would recommend this spot!

Wonderful food and excellent service. I had the Chanute Mix a few weeks ago and again today. The service was awesome and drink so so. Owner welcomed us and asked how our dinner was. Great small town charm with genuine people who care about their business and customers. Highly recommend! Note this was at the Chanute location not Iola.

This place is an actual joke! They bought sushi from a food truck, and then marked it up double and sold it at their establishment. They claim to care about the local community, yet screw them when it is too their convenience. I'm sure they have an excuse for this too, just like their hour-long wait times when their dining service was open. 0/10

Very good food, scratch made great owners and staff. Beef tips and chicken fried steak are extremely good. The best we tried was the Honey Glazed Pepper Shrimp
