The Outpost at Cheney Lake

Aug 12, 2023I heard that the owners have renovated recently! I found the dining area very nice and the service was great. They were very busy due to LIVE MUSIC on the patio this night, but were diligent about checking in w us. The food was great but I think their niche is the fun drinks:) You can get "lake water" served in a take-home "bait bucket"! They have other signature cocktails that were delicious also. Personally had, more than one, bougie seltzer. The food was delicious, the tiny fries had a good crunch, I got them loaded and the queso was v good. Will probs try the nachos next time just because of that. Small town vibe and fun patio! Go try it :)

Really good cheeseburgers..Avoid the calf fries. Worst I've ever had. I left most of them on the plate.Burnt ends are just small pieces of brisket. They're ok but not really burnt ends. Service was good. Pricey.

Great little spot just off Lake Cheney! Small town dinner atmosphere with big portions! We ordered a lot of apps and they were tasty. My favorite were the jalapeño poppers. I ordered burnt ends for my meal and they were good! We went on Memorial Day Weekend and the waitress was very helpful. Get there early because there was only seating inside for about 30 people or so but they do offer seating outside.

Nice evening drive to Cheney enjoyed the burnt ends and sirloin steak sandwich. Thanks for the attentive service.

Too pricey. Heard multiple complaints about service and food. Needs a lot of improvement unfortunately they did have it but decided to let people go for stupid reasons. Just saying ‍‍
