Really delicious espresso drinks, tons of great decor & great ambiance. This is what keeps a small town thriving. I go here twice a day when I visit cuz the coffee is so good! Plenty of seating & parking. Tons of small biz crafts & artisan gifts for any occasion!

Not as interesting as other years. We visit this town frequently and the uniqueness of items has really changed. Not our taste, appears to have mostly made in China things from general market vendors. It used to be such an individualistic adventure.

Want to buy a couch? Kitchen gadgets? Get a cafe latte or a sandwich? The answer from the Feathered Nest is simply yes. **What you need to know is this: there ain't a Starbucks in over 40 miles, and this, my hipster urban refugee friends, is what you got.** Thankfully they pull off the espresso coffee and the lunch items (I didn't try a couch). The items I sampled were more than up to par, the folks are super friendly, and the sole toilet is highly designed and nicely arranged in its room (and - the store stocks PooPourri and they have a tester in the bathroom - almost worth an extra star right there). So, all good. Not that you really have a choice.

Prologue: A nest serves as a home, a place of solitude and rest for a large portion of the animal kingdom. Among the avifauna (commonly known as birds in the region), the 'FEATHERED NEST' is a prized possession, much more valuable than a nest lined with random sticks or strands of straw. This backdrop leads us to our review of this nice little coffee house nestled on the side of a gift / tchotchke shop. Imagine, as you open the glass doors, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee streaming into your nostrils. Your tastebuds astir, you wade through all the tchotchkes until you reach the smiling baristas, hanging on your every word. "Coffee, black", you say. Before your lips have completely finished forming the last word, they are already serving you an empty cup and directing you toward the canisters containing the pre-brewed coffee. You probably thought things were going to end differently, didn't you? Life is often not poetic. But the coffee and lattes are very good. My search for the best scone in America continues. The scones here are more biscuit like, but they taste fine. This is, hands down, the best coffee you'll find in Belleville.Epilogue: The birds are instinctively wise, we should all flock to the feathered nest, for caffeine, for comfort, for hope.

This place gets 5 stars for ambiance and 3 stars for coffee, thus an overall four star review! The store is so cool and unexpected in this small town. The items are really interesting and it has an overall charming, warm, and welcoming ambiance. To boot the staff is super nice and friendly to out of towners. The coffee was very average. They have a full espresso bar, but I got the impression that most of their regulars like mochas and other similar drinks so my very small 8oz americano was a bit of an odd request. They did a not bad job and I was pleased overall, but it wasn't exactly the same quality as Starbucks or my local coffee shop at home.

What a cute, little shop in the middle of nowhere, Kansas! Part furniture and home goods, part coffee shop, and part clothing/accessories; this eclectic shop has a bit of everything. I perused the jewelry and clothing, which I found to be a bit pricey for the region and settled on purchasing cup of coffee (there were five varieties brewed to choose from) and some sparkly slippers. It's a fun place to spend time and a boon to the local economy, to be sure!

The actual address is 1914 M Street which is just past the address listed about one block then turn left. A very nice espresso bar inside a nice antique/furniture shop. Delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie!
