The Cottage Venue

I attended an event here in the middle of the afternoon in July. There is no air conditioning. The hostesses of the event apologized and claimed they didn't realize it wasn't air conditioned. The fans provided very limited relief. The restrooms being inside the adjacent house seemed awkward. When I got home I found I was itching from several mosquito bites.

This place was great. Made planning my special day very easy! Kathleen was great and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Its very charming and warm.

Perfect location for any event that you're planning in your life. The owner is very kind and helpful!

The most amazing venue!! We had prom here and it was a blast!! The students loved being able to dance in the inside and then go outside. When they were outside they played basketball, yard games, got to swing, sit under a beautiful canopy, and just enjoy the beautiful night air. The owner was such a joy to work with. She was such a great communicator from start to finish! She also was so very helpful! She helped us from the time we were interested in booking the venue until the time we left the venue. She helped us setup and clean up. She went over and beyond. We truly appreciated her help. Without her help we would have been there until like 1am cleaning up lol she allowed us to use her fridge and freezer! We were so grateful!

I've attended several events here now and I can't say enough wonderful things about The Cottage! It's a beautiful setting, the owner offers her entire house for use by the bridal party, it's always very clean and well-kept. The owner, Kathleen, is so warm and kind, always willing to help in any way, and a great communicator.Note that for whatever reason, a small local group has decided to target her and spread rumors and lies (I know, because they tried the same stuff on FB - same people, same story, blah blah blah.) It would be wise to give The Cottage a chance - check it out instead of just accepting random info.I would have an event here before any other place in the area because of my wonderful experiences and the price, which you can't beat for all that's included.

Came to an event recently here, beautiful place and host was very kind and helpful, 10/10 recommend.

We reserved this venue for my mom's birthday. It was about 40 degrees outside, so I was worried about whether the barn (a Morton building) would be warm enough. It was absolutely warm enough for our 70 guests, but I think we had all dressed warmly, since it is January. I was so pleased with the decorations already in place. Tablecloths and napkins were neatly arranged when we arrived to set up. Strings of lights were just perfect! A nicely situated serving line for the food and/or bar is against the South wall. I just couldn't have asked for a better place. My mom was so happy with the celebration. Beyond all this, the host was extremely helpful. She communicated very well before, during and after the event. I found her to be kind and extremely understanding of the large number of kids we had on her property. We didn't use the house, except for the restrooms (3) and full kitchen, which are worthy of their own spectacular review! The compliments we received from our guests regarding the location and facilities continued through the event, and after the event.
