Before I start this review, let me just say I am a certified nerd when it comes to all things movies, books, tv, video games, and anime! When I walked into the burrow, I was surprised by its size. It was smaller than I was expecting, but I didn't feel cramped. There was a back room where I heard some fellow card game enthusiasts having quite a rambunctious time, something I plan on being a part of soon! The contents of the store made me feel like I was living out a wonderful dream. The shelves were lined with things from my favorite amines and books, especially Harry Potter. (If you haven't picked up on it yet, the stores name comes from Harry Potter!) Let me tell you, I almost spent all the money in my account in that store. And I wouldn't have been upset if I did! I picked up a few things that I will for sure add to my collections. If you're into things such as any of the things I listed above, you'll love the Burrow.

Very nice store. Has a great collection of novelty items, something you won't find at any other store in Wichita. You'll find a wide variety of items here. From things such as Doctor Who to Godzilla. The staff is very nice and accommodating, I've never had a bad experience here.

Pricey and played a trick on my son with his hard earned money by implying the product was 5 filler clearance but rang him up for 17 and refused refund in less than 5 mins.....I would not shop there again and would suggest anyone not to with my experience at dirt hole

For my review: This is a gift shop style, cover-your-bases-store. If you have a geek/nerd/anime/StarWars/Dr.Who/steampunk/ttrpg(i.e. DnD)/Star Trek/Harry Potter/etc... fan in your life this is the store you either buy from, get a gift card to, or recommend. This is the Hallmark version for nerds/geeks in places that don't have a Box Lunch and on top of that it's local. It's not focused on being solely a gaming shop. It's not a required-items place so much as it is a palace to the many things most people who align with the nerdom/geekdom side of interests. People who would spend 30 minutes exploring, and another 20 minutes drooling, and hopefully 2 minutes buying. It's a very cool store that sells so many cool items for a broad geeky/nerdy market. One of the reasons I commented was because I ran across this yelp looking for holiday hours and saw the 9 year old review from Kelley P. Hope they haven't been back because regarding their review: I've got 99 Problems and The Burrows Ain't One: Dear Kelley P. "The store itself is a great place to find your typical "geek" genre stuff from star trek to star wars, from serenity to princess bride, Dr. who to even T-shirts with Big Bang Theory characters on them." I agree. "Small cluttered and sparsely decorated." I wasn't there 9 years ago, but you should go back. The decorations are amazing. They're all the cool products they sell. "There was a table full of trash and boxes in front of the mirrored wall." No comment. I wasn't there. "The kid working the counter paced nervously and was constantly either blocking my way through the store or looking over my shoulder as I browsed. He smelled like he had not showered since the store opened...""...If the owner would hire someone else to watch the counter (not a 17yr acne plagued moptop with social anxiety)" This part of your review tells me how little I should regard it. You're ridiculing what you claimed to be a 17 year old employee for having a hairstyle you don't like, acne they can't help, and stating that him having social anxiety makes him ineligible for work? Grooming and smell is one thing. But you're literally making fun of someone who you identify as young enough to be in high school because they don't look good enough for you. Maybe you should try Abercrombie and Fitch for your employee standards and online for your items. To anyone who read your review I hope they also read what you posted on your profile; "decide for yourself. GO THERE. dont just read these reviews" "and maybe give another try at cleaning up the store and put some effort into marking shelves, categories, prices etc., i would consider going back." You never updated your review so I assume you didn't go back because that store is amazing and one of my favorite things about it is the "anti social" employees who say "Do you need anything" and I say "no" and they leave me alone to shop. "Bonus for all you UBER GEEKS! they have a collection of steam punk accessories and a plush andre the giant doll!!" They have a lot of awesome items even for regular geeks and casual geeks, and even nerds! They also have items for people who are just into locally made leather items. "I would rather shop this store online but looks like they are not even geeky enough to have a website!!! POSERS!!!! get an online store, seriously!" Jesus.

The Staff at the Burrows are friendly, considerate and helpful. If they do not have an item in stock that the customer is interested they will either find a store nearby that has the item or if it can be ordered they will do this for the customer. They have both a store with a good variety of gifts and area for customers to try out various games before purchase with groups at various pre-announced times as well as area for rpg and card gaming.I and my entire family enjoy the environment and service we receive at the Burrows. We recommend it highly if for nothing else than someplace with something different to browse through and to stop and say howdy to the staff whom always have a smile to share.

The Burrow always amazes me with the geek gadgets, gizmos, board games, and toys they get in. The owner and staff are always great to talk to and very helpful. They are also one of the few places in the Midwest with a solid selection of Cardfight!! Vanguard cards along with a solid player base. I go there at least twice a week just to see what's new. Plus they have weekly meetups for board games, card games, videos games and more.A must visit for any geek.
